Dak numbers without Zeke

Sure. Though Romo wouldn't get sacked that much.

Dak's pocket awareness sucks...that's why he gets sacked so often. I have seen him step into pressure and get happy feet way too often..but hey, every one on this team sucks except Dak right. Our OL is overrated because they can't hold their blocks for 2 minutes each play and allow Dak to decide if he should throw it deep or check it down..

Even Russel Wilson had bad games in his second season. Here is his passer rating from those games.

86.3
81.9
78.7
63.9
49.7
49.6

I'm not going to put it all on him. These receivers don't give him any help. I still don't understand why Switzer isn't given a shot. Put him in for a couple of plays and see what happens. Now the one thing that's on him is the interceptions. He didn't turn the ball over last year like he is this season. He's a second year QB who needs help to be successful at this point and I don't think that's a bad thing. Let's see what happens next year. Hopefully we see progress. He's got to play better but Zeke obviously is a huge part of that.

Its a package deal; Dak has not played well; we are missing key players; some that are playing are not doing well either; and of course the coaching staff compounds problems instead of fixing them

This year, Dak looks like he should’ve looked last year. A rookie 4th rd pick with great intangibles.

I’m concerned about him. The passing game right now is nasty. And I don’t know whether that’s Dak, the receivers, the scheme or everything...

Teams took away Bease and Dak looks avg.

Anything short of perfection is not allowed here. We won 3 of 6 games and Dak did have his issues, but we were missing players along the way also. This is a team game and it is worth repeating: there are maybe 2 QBs in the NFL who are able to carry a team of average guys—Rodgers and Brady. The rest are closely aligned talent wise and their success is part of a team concept. Dak is at the top of the third tier of QBs right now in that he does his best work in a balanced O. Dak is in the top half of the NFL ranks of QBs with time and room to grow.

Wentz went from the third their to the second this year due to the talent around him, and his growth.

We have needs on O like we do on D. Let’s be mature fans and give Dak some time and help before we give up on him.

he actually did cost us the gb game. isnt that the one where he ran it in for a touchdown instead of falling at the 1? that was 100% on him.

Yes, it's HIS fault that he gave the defense a lead............only to have them give it up. You all DO realize Dak doesn't play defense, right? Or, that our defensive players get paid to stop the other team, right? I mean, D couldn't even hold them to a FG. But, yeah, that's Dak's fault.

:facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm:

I hate that this all gets rolled up into Zeke's absence. When the reality is, we were missing a lot of key players during the bulk of those six games.

Dak played poorly again tonight, though, and not always because of the pressure. He came through when it counted, though, and that long pass to Dez and the big drive off of the fake punt were big time series.
EVERY TEAM is missing key players.

Had a couple of good passes dropped, run game disappeared too. We'll see what it looks like against Seattle. You won a must win game on the road.
Once again, against an equally bad team. Next week, Seattle brings us back to reality in a big way.

"Dak has played well"

"He will be fine"

"The next Brady"

Tom Bradys second full year in the league he posted:

3764 yards, 28 TDS, 14 INTs with a QB rating of 85.7 and one rushing TD along with 110 yards.

Dak Prescott is at:

2964 yards, 21 TDs, 11 INTs for a QB rating of 89.6
He has 6 rushing TDs along with 320 yards on the ground.

With 2 more games to be played.

Was Tom Brady "Tom Brady" year two?

You do know some players continue to progress over their careers, right?
Sort of like that undrafted QB out of Eastern Illinois?
It's too early to call on Dak. He could regress or progress.

Now, I was not one of those posters who compared him to Brady, and frankly I don't see the comparison.

Not like Romo set a high bar for winning anything here. But hey, now's the time to throw excuses out about the defense, run game or receivers, or coaches!

Now add those same excuses to Dak.

the only ones giving up on him are the ones that did not like him to begin with. THE REST OF US are concerned by his lack of progression. We also realize that he is not in anywhere near as good as situation as he was last year. BUT those like you need to take off the rose colored glasses. Look at how many here kept claiming he HAD TO BE BETTER THIS YEAR because he now had experience. INSISTING his numbers and everything ELSE would continue to go straight up. Common sense alone should have told them that a season like Dak had last year is even rare for those like Brady.

I knew last year was an aberration and not a refelection necessarily of anything. My vision is Ok but I do need reading glasses. Haha.

I just ask for a more realistic outlook for Dak and this team. He needs blocking and an open receiver like the rest of the QBs do.

Not to mention Brady was in the Pats offensive system, Dak has the Linehan:banghead:

WRs were horrible in general, all season long

Just like we did with the backfield. We need to reshuffle the WR group. Release them ALL, and draft new young WRs
