My answer is Pollard, draft pick, Davis and Dowdle. Maybe Jones? Best RB corp going forward. NO to Zeke.

Bringing back Zeke is absolutely a wasted roster space. And he won't be signing for the vet minimum which only makes me want him back even less.
This is going to sound silly but I would be curious what Zeke would look like as a fullback.

His pass blocking is still elite, he’s still got good hands, and I think he could do some things as a fullback.

Now is he going to play for cheap and be on special teams? Lol I doubt it.

Zeke ain’t playing special teams and he ain’t playing for Vet min.. He’ll be RB3 at best. Might be time for him to retire and hit Cabo..

Not sure why we signed Ron Jones if Zeke was gonna be brought back. I think it’s wishful thinking on Dak’s part.

I think he should unless he just didn’t take care of his money somehow.

He’s a vet Min player that might get 4 or 5 million because of his reputation.

Just retire and live a healthy life.

No need for an overpaid FB. whatever he gets paid will be overpay. Much rather fill the slot with any other RB. Zeke has overstayed his welcome and become extinct. He needs to move on with his life while he still is healthy and has all his senses. Enjoy the moolah Jerry gave up.

I could see him coming back in a limited role on close to vet min. He's a good pass blocker. Still good in short yardage.

Dak isn't serious about winning if he wants Zeke back lol. Zeke is broke down and cashed out, to put it nicely.

I'm ready to see who they draft for RB2 duties, and depending on who that is the Zeke talk will go away...some of you will cry in your pillows but you'll get through it.

Look forward to a healthy TP coming back to lead an explosive run game...my guy will be good to go for training camp, so RB2 should've taken plenty reps in mini camp to be ready to contribute Day 1.

The heck is he supposed to say lmao
Perhaps 'The team knows what Zeke brings to the table. We'll eventually see what happens.'?

Saying 'there are a lot of people not only on the team but in the organization that would love that.' suggests not everyone would not love Ezekiel Elliott returning to the team. And the only two relevant peoples' opinions are the guys who would agree to a new contract for Elliott's return to the roster.

Maybe Prescott should consider what must take place before that what if were to happen. The touchy-feely responses are not necessary. Neutral answers might even prompt the Adam Schefter types to do actual work and direct those types of questions to the correct parties instead, like Jerry Jones and Elliott.

Or you’re just being way too meticulous. It’s an April interview and most of which is about his personal life. It’s like we forget people are humans lol he’s not having all those calculative thoughts on such a harmless question.

Why in the world would he be worried about all these little considerations when he knows this is some fluff question in a fluff interview? It’s just not that deep.

I can guarantee you the only people going on about such a simple innocuous interview answer are the folks on this forum. Nobody else takes off-season softball interview fodder this seriously except CZ.

Guy says he wants to be teammates with his best friend. How is that worth anyone’s time to be upset or critical about?

Damn, I guess Dak has to say it. But it wouldn"t be fair to the other 53 players he'd hold back because he's no longer an NFL player.

Zeke should go hang with TWill down in Mexico....

Progress stopper?

If Zeke came back on a reasonable deal and gave us some depth, I don’t have an issue.

Honestly, the *hard* part is over. We cut him, he tested the market, we didn’t sign anyone as a free agent.

Other than pride and “by god, we are mad as hell and aren’t gonna take it anymore”, I can’t see it as a big problem.

Now, if we draft a RB, then this all goes away, but if not, adding another RB to the stable can’t hurt.
We have two backs who are better.. RoJo and Davis are both better players.

Unless it's an upgrade, how many backs do you need?

Zeke should have voted for Romo to get his job back, instead of his best friend.. At least he’d probably have a SB ring right now with that roster, it at minimum knew what it was like to play behind a real QB.

Who is RoJo?

I kid, I know who he is, but he’s done nothing in the league.

Zeke has found the end zone 72 times.

It’s fine to make room for starters but keeping random spares who can never, ever, start and are likely training camp/practice squad guys over a proven 2nd/3rd string back is silly.

This is not a developmental position

Agreed. Dak's not serious about winning a SB. That's why his time with Dallas will be coming to a close if he doesn't lead this team to a SB in the next two years.
