Dak consistently misses routine NFL throws. It is not even arguable. He is tough and athletic and that will sometimes allow for good stretches. But this team should have put up a 40 burger

Dak supporting cast is a whole lot better than wentz's.
That’s a joke, right? The only thing Wentz doesn’t have is a run game, and that’s on Pederson who doesn’t run.
Wentz has two TEs better than anyone on our team, a QBs best friend.
He has better WRs who have done more in this league than our guys.
He has a better offensive system, coach, and playcaller.
And even with Johnson out, his OL is just as good, if not better with our injuries/illness.

I’m not going to be a homer. Wentz has more talent and upside than Dak. That’s why he was the #2 pick and Dak was a 4th rounder. But Wentz threw off target frequently to open receivers all night. They were twisting to catch passes behind them, lying on the turf to reach back for balls, and going down with lots of room to run.

Wentz is the better QB, but yes, he was outplayed last night.

The only thing Dak can do better is run. Wentz has an accurate bullet... that's very Brady
Wentz completed 72% of his passes last night, Dak completed 72% of his passes last night. Dak's passer rating was 102.8, Wentz's was 102.5. Dak made the passes when he had to at the end of the half and game, Wentz didn't.

No worries. Have a little Dak party... sign him to the big extension you so clearly want and then quietly cry into your pillow when we continue to post 8-8 type seasons..

Clearly you didn't watch the coverage.. I mean they literally had packages showing why Dak is bad. 4 shuffles before releasing the ball late and thus missing what should have been a wide open receiver for a 25 yard strike. The fact he stares down receivers so badly that he often misses wide open players on the other side of the field. The check downs when there is a WR on a deep slant that could possibly run in a TD. The 'fumble' when running to his left.. even though there was no need to run. The horrible, horrible series of plays near the endzone that could have resulted in us missing the second rushing TD except for Zeke making an exceptional play behind #70.

Honestly.. I am super excited we won.. it is great to beat the Eagles.. but all Daks issues were on display and that is the problem. Winning glosses over mistakes which means that they are still there when we play the better teams and we will lose. Eagles were 4-4 and struggling this season, they are not the same team that won a SB last year.

8-8 would be luck. Dak is easily a 6-10 QB. All his homers are going crazy right now, but forgetting that Zeke was breaking runs for chunks of 15+ yards. Dak still looked like Dak, but Zeke and the o-line was eating that defense for dinner.

There isn't a GM in the NFL (except for Jerrah) who would take Dak over Wentz.

Lol saying he had no supporting cast. The Oline played lights out. So did Zeke and the WRs. Defense kept us in the first half when Dak was absolutely dreadful.
ROFL you haters are sad, sad people....
Dak was not bad in the 1st half.
He led the team to a 13-3 lead and the team controlled the clock for 20 minutes.
Outside a couple drives stalling because of penalties and that weird double reverse nonsense the offense and Dak were solid all night.

There was that one pass Wentz threw that hit Byron square in the back. If Byron had turned around it would have literally fallen into his lap.

31 NFL GMS would take Dak, the 6.5M in cap space per year on their rookie deals and the extra draft picks.
Especially if they had a back up QB who could win a SB on the roster.
Wentz is more physically talented but he is far less durable and cost way more in both draft capital and cap space.

LOL.

You guys are insane.

The cap space argument is laughable.

stop posting pure agenda driven stupidity.
zeke had all of 8 carries in the first half while Dak had well over 100 yards passing versus a banged up secondary.
zeke's first 5 attempts netted a total of 10 yards rushing
they backed off the run to play the pass and Zeke ate.

dak has had crap games but this was a quite good one.

I was shocked to see Dak had over 170yds passing in the 1st half. He played well.

No, you goofballs with your Dak hate are the ones with issues.

Eagles cost for Wentz???
The No. 8 pick in 2016, the No. 77 pick (third round) in 2016, the No. 100 pick (fourth round) in 2016, a 2017 first-rounder and a 2018 second-rounder.
7m per year on rookie deal.

DAL cost for Prescott
Supp 4th round pick and 500K a year on rookie deal.

Funny most of you Dak haters said Tate was better than Cooper but now all over a sudden Dak has the better weapons........ Y'all so dang foolish it's laughable.

The Cowboys effect. Every other team who makes a trade seems like it's a huge trade to some on here that will lift the other teams over the top into playoff/Superbowl contention.

Then the trades the Cowboys make are said to be horrible trades, which won't help the team or will set the franchise back. Distrust of the front office has something to do with those that doubt the Cowboys trading decisions.

Still think that Cooper has more upside to him over Tate. Even though some were insisting that Tate would propel the Eagles over the top and Cooper would only hurt or not help. Like I said before if some other team traded for Cooper then some would have said that team made a great trade. Some are building up all of the other trades made for WRs this season as better than ours, because of the Cowboys Effect and fans feeling down about how this team has played poorly at times.

I do get satisfaction at how Cooper outplayed Tate last night, satisfaction directed at all of the Cowboys haters who were clowning the Cowboys by comparing us giving up a 1st and making out the Iggles giving up a 5th for Tate to be the better trade. So, Cowboys haters ate some crow last night!

Well for starters, since we held the 4th pick the cost would not have been as much as what Philly paid.

And he's a better QB by a pretty sizeable amount too.

It's not Dak hate. That's the chatter from the intellectually lazy homers like yourself. It's just looking at both QBs and admitting one is better than the other and that's a position that most outside Dallas homers also hold.

What good is it that Dak only cost a 4th round pick if he's not an upper echelon QB? That's the dumbest thing I have ever heard.

That's like saying you'd rather have some 6th round OG instead of Martin or some 7th round DE over Lawrence.

It's insane logic.

Both Zeke and Dak played well. They also both left plays out there on the field. Dak missed some throws and Zeke left a lot of meat on the bone.

Overall we got the victory so I’ll enjoy it.

Gee, you would never know that Wentz was passing because his team was behind the entire game, huh?
They were never far enough behind, where they needed to play catch up with the passing game, until late in the 4th. They just don't have the running game we have.

I don't think anyone debated that Tate had more upside. A big factor in the discussion was the cost paid.

When you make a trade using your #1 pick for a WR that leaves the impression that this team is just a WR away from dominating. But we all know that's not the case here.

Cowboys defense got one stop in the 2nd half. Well one stop that mattered. Now I will say that it's pretty bad that were never behind the chains because the officials refused to penalize you and you still lose.

Yeah I don't agree...Wentz had plenty of weapons tonight. The Iggles just got beat. He threw a pick and Dak amazingly did not...end of story..
Thanks to their LB? having hands of stone. That should've been a pick 6, or at the very least, set them up within 5 yards of the end zone.

They should run more WR screens
Agreed. Makes it easier on the passing game. I don't like the plays that take awhile to develop. The longer Dak is in the pocket the more he panics and all his mechanics go out the window.

Plus he still has no idea how to step up in the pocket. I just don't get it
