I like running him more. Get him on the edge and let him make a decision to throw it or run it.

I agree completely. He's never going to be a running QB, his nature is always going to be pass first. However, this offense is lethal when he's taking off enough for the D to have to account for him. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 3 scrambles a game would be enough to make things really tough on defenses.

There have been a bunch of times this season that I wish he had tucked it and ran, especially on short third downs where he's waiting in the pocket too long. I'm hoping he'll start taking them more often - it's a huge boon for this team.

Throwing on the run with accuracy isn't easy......Dak makes it look easy. Really impressed with that aspect of his game.

QBR is a better representation of how good a QB is than QB rating IMO. But goodness what a shame what happened to Watson. He was going to have a historic season.

But wait, we are being told that the Cowboys made a HUGE mistake by not selling the farm to get Wentz. Surely this is some sort of typo.

There are like, maybe, 3 people saying that with Risen and mattjames (who never seems to be happy) being the most vocal.

Why exaggerate? Most of the others are simply just pointing out that Wentz is a great QB at this point but are content with Dak.

Dak has been strong
:flagwave:
Not sure about ESPN's manufactured "QBR"...nobody else uses it but them.

But 8th overall in actual QB rating (97.7) is plenty good.

We're VERY lucky to have Dak.

It's proprietary to ESPN. They created it. I think it was partially created by Ron Jaworski and Jon Gruden and some others at ESPN who believed QB Rating was a flawed stat. They wanted a stat that took into account far more factors such as running, when a QB led a scoring drive, air yards, etc.

He didn’t exaggerate. He stated “we are being told”. He didn’t say how many people are stating it. He didn’t over generalize. It was pretty much a direct shot at the morons who are engaging in the behavior.

The fact that YOU took it as an attack and over exaggeration, is on you.

No doubt that pure QB rating is also flawed. it leaves out rushing, for example.

The ESPN "QBR" has some speculative twists to it though.

Every once in awhile you'll see Brees wininng with 400 yards 4 Tds, no ints, but a lower QBR than someone with what appears to be a jag game--low yards, maybe a turnover, etc...and still a higher QBR than the near perfection of a Brees (or Brady or whomever). Sometimes it goes way off the reservation because it's not a pure stat.

In any case, Dak is kicking tail.

Watson will stay where he's at since he's injured. Can Dak pass him?

Nice observation. While I didn’t notice that at first read it’s very accurate.

You can include Bodi in that trifecta.

Dak played well yesterday. Some erratic throws, but some brilliant play, too.

We will get a really good picture of where he is in two weeks against Philly.
