It's a good thing I'm not in the NFL.

I would answer these questions with:

"I'm honestly in the worst shape of my life, but raging alcoholism and drug use will do that to you. I feel like my throwing mechanics have regressed a lot, and frankly I'm being paid so much I don't really feel like putting in a lot of work to get better. Right now my goal is to stay focused working with my lawyer to pay hush money on paternity suits, and with my agent on my future movie career."

I want to see Dak bust open a soft zone, exploit it, not throw pic 6.

He's done it many times. The guy has been in the league 6 years. LOL

You mean Romo throwing a pick 6?

The entire 2nd half of last year teams were playing mostly a 2 deep zone against us.

Always good to be in shape.

I guess more so if you are going to run more. And should help with escapability.
Dropping back, reading defenses, and delivering the ball does not require a QB to be in incredible shape. Not even close.

But then again, it can't hurt, especially if you retain your flexibility.

He needs to learn how to read defences, anticipate throws and proper mechanics
Problem with most QBs, is you cant change certain mechanics at this point in career, tenure, what comes natural is very hard to coach out of all QBs, not just a Dak affliction.
What must evolve next for Dak, because we have already reached his pinnacle ceiling as far as physical talent, his game will progress when he begins to evolve mentally.
I believe he still has a ceiling in that respect, he needs to have the ability to process the route tree development, and no way can I even lay that blame solely on Dak.
This OL is in a quick rebuild mode, so Dak is going to have to take advantage of understanding how to get a feel for the timing of this offense, he has been bum rushed like Romo.
This OL provides an xtra.05 second, and Dak better find a way to take advantage of it.
He is getting payed to recognize.

Thats great Dak cause that's one of the things you are paid to be, but best shape doesn't lead to the big dance, can you see the whole field, can you thread the needle, can you hit a wide-open receiver, can you move around enough to keep the drive alive, can you lead this team?

We can touch base on all that during the bye week Dak.

To be continued.....
Another post excluding the facts of daks accuracy throwing into tight windows. Do any of you read anything before posting? Or just copy everyone else?
Dak needs to work on one thing for sure, and that’s consistency. He gets out of his mechanics too easily and needs to fix that, also he needs to just let the ball go sometimes, I feel like when kitna was here Dak was letting the ball go a lot more often.

Dak has many times been in the top ten and even top 5 with his accuracy on tight window throws. But hey. Easier to just rely on the eye test. Lol

And should be a coverage that should be highly exploitable.

I think we hear that from a few players every year. Tony Romo, Sean Lee, Amari Cooper, Tyron Smith, etc. all had off-seasons where they said something like that only to end up injured and/or missing games during the season.

It is not like I do not want to hear it, but at this point I would rather them show it on the field the whole season than tell me about it before the season even begins.

The interesting thing about Romo, as I recall, at the end of every off-season, he'd mention some improvement made to his game but would never tell us what it was.

I believe he was referring to his golf game.

I don't see the problem.......this time last year his priority was making sure he was 100% healthy after a season-ending injury. This offseason he's focused on improving his game. So again, what's the problem?

There isn’t one. People just want to attack any player that speaks. Lol.

I think some forget speaking to the media is literally their job. I do have to admit though. Annually we hear this.

Agree 100%........., especially as the face of the franchise. Not to mention 99.9% of the time players are simply answering questions being asked.

I agree. But would you rather he say “well I ate a large pizza last night and drank some beers with the boys and then painted the town red”? Lol.

Also. How do you know he’s lying? You measuring his body fat percentage from your laptop at home?

If some random person asks how your kids are doing for example. You gonna tell them “Johnny is failing math and Jack is being a POS.”? Nope. You’re gonna say. Family is going great thanks for asking. So I guess you’re a liar too.

yeah, but this is all the media peoples fault.
they ask dumb questions and the players just answer them, then the media people put it out there.

If it is said on a social site, then it is on the player.

So better to just ignore all that the media puts out there, because it is meaningless.
I guess like us they have nothing to say or do till season starts.
