Listen here Ronnie. You are a cool poster here and I don’t want any trouble. I’m not the one trying to dispute that Dak is this elite/great QB. The other poster is, hence why I asked for the flip. However, im going to be honest with you here.
I think Dak’s good. I think you can go all the way with him, however, I believe that lightning would have to strike for many weeks straight for it to happen. He needs everything to be perfect. Without Amari, he suffers a great amount and his play significantly decreases. I shouldn’t compare, but look at how Aaron plays without Adams. He plays well enough to win. Tom without some of his receivers can play enough to win (they won a great comeback against the colts yesterday actually!). Kyler played without Hopkins and won. The list goes on. We need him to perform at that level and he just can’t, and considering his cash load on the team, is it really bad for us to expect more production from him when the game is on the line?
I’m going to quote someone who may not be quoteable, but made a good point. “You can’t have everything”. Colin said this about Kirk Cousins the other week. You can’t have a perfect O-line, receivers, coach, and defense and expect to have everything fall into place. Sometimes you don’t have those things and you have to overcome the shortcomings of those things when you are a QB. Dak lacks that power to overcome.
This isn’t to say other positions don’t share any blame. Zeke, the receiver drops, TE’s lack of blocking, defense up and down every week. I get it. But one cannot deny how inaccurate and unconfident Dak has looked since the Broncos game. Falcons game was a smoke screen.
