He will be a free agent at the end ,can’t trade him then ! Has to now or not at all!
He is an unrestricted free agent at the end of this season so it’s now or never.

BEST NEWS ALL YEAR

Receivers are going to have to adjust to accurate balls being thrown now.
You Dak haters are too funny. Cowboys will be playing for the #1 pick now with him out. So there is at least a silver lining in all this…

Except you said trade him in the offseason for a pick. No one is trading for him before tomorrow.

Lance will be a free agent, there is no trading him. Just let him start and see if he is worth #2 money in 2025.
They would have to re-sign him. Then possibly trade him down the road. They need to take advantage of Dak being injured and play him. Maybe he could put up some good tape.

I could see Jerry resigning him without ever letting him play too

If we lose on Sunday we won’t be mathematically/officially eliminated but we’ll be realistically done. No way are we rebounding from 4 games down in our division with 8 games left with our remaining schedule. Not to mention a loss to Philly would be our 5th conference loss, so we can forget about a wildcard possibly. If Rush were to play real good they’ll likely stay with him even if we lose but if he doesn’t play well enough I think there’s a good chance Lance gets the start against the Texans. The Joneses don’t want that 4th round pick they used on Lance to be a wasted pick, which it’s looking like it is. This would be their best opportunity to get him on the field and possibly increase his trade value. If he were to play well, which isn’t very likely with this crappy team, they could trade him during the offseason and add another pick.
What would a team be willing to trade for a guy who becomes a free agent on March 12, 2025? Why not wait? Wouldn’t his agent suggest waiting to sign with a team he’s comfortable with, unless of course, Dallas offers him a more lucrative contract than he could get from another team? And then who would trade for him?

The only way they do that is if we have success with Rush. They’re paying Dak way too much to shut him down if he’s healthy to play.
If we have any measurable success with Rush, they will hurry Dak back ahead of schedule to try and stem that tide.

Weak as usual. I know "you're" hurting.
He's in free fall

He saw what we all saw yesterday

Rush coming in cold off the bench mid 4th quarter and was arguably better than Dak. Certainly no drop off

That's embarrassing for the highest paid player in NFL history. It's embarrassing for his ardent defenders as well.

Don't care if he misses games.
This season is toast anyway.
What i hate is that Jerry now has a built in excuse on why the season went in the toilet.
It will distract from the real reason, which is they totally mismanaged the off season.
I think they managed it just like they thought. Now they can build a better team for next year and have an easy schedule.

That will be hard to do, but they do have the tie breaker over the Saints.

Dak is so bad this year that I think Cooper Rush is a big improvement and I always thought he is nowhere as good as Dak .

Maybe we can watch some real football now instead of 5 yard dump offs and swing passes which is all Dak could do .
