Weak as usual. I know "you're" hurting.
You're like the senior citizens at the local night school trying to earn that elusive GED.

I'm glad I taught you "your vs you're" today. You're welcome.

Realistically a backup QB might make it seem like things are better initially and then reality sets in. It's like driving on a donut wheel. You get down the road for a while but eventually you have to replace it with a real tire. I hope Dak heals fully and doesn't risk further injury trying to come back too soon. He's a competitor so you know he wants to come back ASAP.

That's a paid QB down on the ground again......certainly wasn't wished for.......but he got his money.

In retrospect, the worst thing to happen to the team that year.

The team “lucked” into fools gold.

I suspect that Lance will get to start at some point after Rush gets beat up.
Exactly, they will do the polite thing and give Rush enough of a chance to either look adequate or horrible, and at that point we will trot out Trance to perform glimpses of elite perfection.
Season is just beginning people!!

It really doesn't matter if Dak is gone or back as he's insignificant to the real issue at hand. Until the GM is gone, this circus will stay in town and flood North Texas with hopes. I'm happy for Dak. He got (not earned) his retirement $$, like so many others while making Jerry even more insignificant as the football guy he so cherishes to be.
Sadly, at this point, I find myself wanting to see this team humiliated until Jerry is forced out.
Dak is a good person, but he's done as a completive NFL starter so play out a few more years as a temporary band-aid to a cancerous organization and in a few years walk away and have a good life playing in your mansion.

If we lose on Sunday we won’t be mathematically/officially eliminated but we’ll be realistically done. No way are we rebounding from 4 games down in our division with 8 games left with our remaining schedule. Not to mention a loss to Philly would be our 5th conference loss, so we can forget about a wildcard possibly. If Rush were to play real good they’ll likely stay with him even if we lose but if he doesn’t play well enough I think there’s a good chance Lance gets the start against the Texans. The Joneses don’t want that 4th round pick they used on Lance to be a wasted pick, which it’s looking like it is. This would be their best opportunity to get him on the field and possibly increase his trade value. If he were to play well, which isn’t very likely with this crappy team, they could trade him during the offseason and add another pick.
I think Rush not playing well is the only chance of seeing Lance. We might be realistically done after this coming weekend, but I wouldn't expect the Joneses or McCarthy to accept that and wave the white flag.

If we don't trade Lance before the trade deadline, we won't get another chance because he's a free agent in the offseason. We rightfully declined his $22 million fifth-year option. I guess we could technically trade him before free agency starts to a team that wants to get him under contract but doesn't want to fight for him in FA, but how often does that actually happen? He'd definitely have to prove himself to the point where there were several contenders to sign him.

That's what you said when Coop came in the LAST time Dak hurt himself. You cried a river of tears Coop kept our season alive.
You must be drunk on Dak hate, because you’ve been crying a river of tears since Prescott has been a Cowboy. You’ll never catch me crying over any football player like you do with your “Coop” vs Dak obsession. Rush will be worse with the same lack of playmakers around him. You’re just blinded by Dak hate and your scrubby obsession with him to see this team is bad from top to bottom. Not just a QB issue…

There is no defense to lean on this time. I'd expect to see Lance get starting reps at some point during the season

Funny how no one, even the Dak lovers, aren't devastated by this injury...
