Some fans are just clueless, and that's fine. But I've noticed the latest talking points like the red zone or how the defense is carrying the team keep popping up. Besides protecting the ball, the offense if 4th overall in the NFL in points. And this is without insane yardage statistics. This is also ONE point behind the 49ers.
That's what you want. An efficient team. Both sides are balling.

He’s not throwing the ball more than 5 yards very often.

Our defense and special teams also has as many TDs as him.

He is not deserving of your blind loyalty.
What an ignorant comment. One of many.

Dak went 28 of 34 for 261 yards, an 82.4% completions percentage with a 7.7 yards/average per catch. That's definitely waaaay more than your false 5 yards/average accusation.

Yeah these guys with the made up stats supporting their Dak-hate can get really tiresome after a while. Actually come to think of it it's tiresome no matter which of our players they do it to.

Dak is actually in the top half of qualifying passers in number of 20-plus yards attempts this season too, but or course, facts that do not support the narrative need to be omitted.

I think this is a case where both sides are helping EACH OTHER.

There'll be times where both are down at the same....okay.

When you mention 3 starting OL being out. It affects every play. Whether it be mental or not. If you are afraid of getting killed because your line isnt blocking, you may throw the ball when you dont want to.
I find that very weak and I would expect my veteran QB to be able to understand when he has all the time and space in the world and is under no pressure to throw a horrible pass into coverage, like he had on that play.

Well, they lie. It’s not a surprise. I’m sure it’s both sides but lots of people don’t see anything wrong with posting false information in an effort to win internet arguments.

Can't expect the defense to score touchdowns in every win especially the tough ones. The offense needs to do it's part against the upcoming slate of good teams. It would be criminal for Mike not to use any trick he might have up his sleeve.

You seem to be the only one discussing any specific play. The thread is about ball security on the season. And if you aren't able to comprehend the impact of having backup linemen in repeatedly letting the rush get pushed into your play affects the passing game AND the fact that them getting beaten on running plays down close making the QB feel like he has to force things then there's really no point in discussing football with you. Line failing to block, time running out in the game.. It all ties together.
You should probably go back and read this exchange from the beginning. If you can't comprehend the entirety, there is no point in discussing anything with you.

That horrible o-line was part of 185 yards in rushing. Dak was sacked twice.

None of that matters when on 3rd down, deep in the redzone, the line gives the QB plenty of time and space, in a near do or die situation, and the QB throws a rookie interception.

That speaks directly to the topic of the thread.

He has protected the ball much better than last season, but in the one game we needed something from the offense, he didn't.

You can love it, you can hate it, but you can't deny it.

The fact that this team has like double the number of 10+ play drives and the next team should tell people all they need to know about how this offense is functioning. If the tight ends didn't drop three well thrown balls which would have been TDs the offense would be much higher up the rankings for red zone efficiency too. But much like the INTs last year, forget what other guys do, everything is Dak's fault in the eyes of too many so-called Cowboy fans.
And 2 blatant PI calls in the endzone in the cards game not called. 1 TD rushing by pollard in 2nd week called back by penalty.

the wideout definitely didn't help matters, but yes... it was definitely on Mac as well lol.
An ill advised pass. But it's probably completed if the WR comes back to the QB. Instead, he fades back.

That pick by Jones was absolutely his fault. His throw was late and all the way across the field. He got away with it earlier in the game.
All you're doing is parroting what they said on TV. As soon as Jones threw that ball the WR needed to go towards the QB. Instead, the WR faded back. That allowed Bland to jump the route. That pass is completed if he moved towards Jones.

What is troubling is that poster lies over and over. His actions are a perfect definition of trolling...

That was the second time that drive that Jones threw back across his body. The first time he lucked out when the WR came back and caught the ball. The second time Bland saw what was happening and jumped on it.

We can blame Jones for making a bad decision twice on the same series, but the real credit here should go to DaRon Bland in my opinion.

Nope, just stating what I saw. Didn't watch with the sound on anyway. It was a bad decision by Jones. He made the same bad decision earlier and got away with it. The WR could have made a better attempt to come back to the ball, but it was just not a good idea for Jones to make that throw.

Absolutely. Great play by Bland. He always seems to be around the ball. But if you're a QB, do you trust that WR again? It was an ill advised pass, but c'mon, the WR can't fade back like that.

CJ Stroud has 0 (Zero) Int's so far. Just thought I would throw that out there.

Dak had a huge brain fart on that pass. Need just a little more air under it. But then, would have have allowed the defenders enough time to still make a play.
This is where we miss a big target as an end zone threat. I been saying that for years. I was hoping Fehoko showed enough to be that player.

This was where Hopkins would have been a good signing.
i hear you on big target end zone...that is why i called mysef GO-Rico-Gathers...then shortened it to GORICO....he had such good hands and from basketball knew instinctively how to get position...but he did not posess the brain matter to learn TE duties fast enough...he was a beast

*thumps my chest and points at the sky* I'm glad Mike dumbed it down and went to a short pass offense. Thank you Mike *thump*
I'm really trying to understand you Cap. You post a lot of these seemingly random drive by posts that are mostly about the QB. You like almost every post by Eagle fans on the board - looking at you "Mountain whatever Cowboy" so I'm really trying to understand your angle. I know you are a Cowboy fan - unlike them. I know it's been a frustrating three decades but what does this accomplish? The QB is what he is so what does pounding it into our head do? We can't change it man and the Cowboy FO doesn't care what we think. There are a few people on here who think he's god's gift to quarterbacking but most recognize his limitations. I mean...enjoy the ride and see what happens. Am I wrong?
