He’s not throwing the ball more than 5 yards very often.

Our defense and special teams also has as many TDs as him.

He is not deserving of your blind loyalty.
but can we have a miracle game this sunday night is all i ask???....we have been stuffed in run game last two games....run Pollard and Leupke with a few trick plays Deuce and #9....and we cannot have Eduga playing LT against Bosa...that is all i ask

smh, every day with a new post about some manufactured stat to make him look like he isnt simply another Kirk Cousins, Carson Palmer, Derek Carr level qb

Lets see if he can beat SF in SF, that will impress me
i was established fan in 1971 super bowl against Colts where there were 8-9 turnovers ( both teams )and one we lost on the one inch line and barely lost 16-13
but when i saw that star on helmet as a 6th grader with my own 12-inch black and white TV i got for Christmas and not allowing anyone in my room until game over....i was all in Cowboy fan....how about we just guarantee a win at SF????....

I'm really trying to understand you Cap. You post a lot of these seemingly random drive by posts that are mostly about the QB. You like almost every post by Eagle fans on the board - looking at you "Mountain whatever Cowboy" so I'm really trying to understand your angle. I know you are a Cowboy fan - unlike them. I know it's been a frustrating three decades but what does this accomplish? The QB is what he is so what does pounding it into our head do? We can't change it man and the Cowboy FO doesn't care what we think. There are a few people on here who think he's god's gift to quarterbacking but most recognize his limitations. I mean...enjoy the ride and see what happens. Am I wrong?
Thank you for asking serious questions. I'm a burnt-out fan. I have watched a lot of Cowboys games for a lot of years. and just don't find it enjoyabe anymore. I watch them and don't get excited or depressed by the outcome.
You seem like a good guy, so don't take my posts to heart. I just come here to vent mostly and pick at the ones who won't ever find any flaws in dak.

sorry you are a good guy, I'm just old like Clint Eastwood..

Dang, I wasn't trying to make you feel bad brother. I get it. I used to ruin my whole week after a loss and you feel indifferent these days. Can't blame you. The only thing I would suggest is to try and find some joy week to week. I mean it's still entertainment. Sorry, I feel like an a-hole now.

They have him in a dink and dunk offense by design..
Soon this will be defensed, he'll need to begin stretching the back 7. The next 4 games will be telling.
I stated at the beginning of the season, it was going to take about five weeks for defenses to get a handle on our new offense. Now we'll see if mike can adjust.

Is Jimmy's 1992 team going to be on the field Sunday night? Then no 3 inch headlines this time around. The biggest headline might be if Jerry gets caught picking his nose again on camera.

I was gonna post this exact thing about his 5 yd passes and none yard screens..most stats don't tell the whole story, that's why I only follow 1 stat..wins and losses.
what are you basing the 5 yds on? the eye test?

I find that very weak and I would expect my veteran QB to be able to understand when he has all the time and space in the world and is under no pressure to throw a horrible pass into coverage, like he had on that play.
it was a dumb pass, but it was also desperation due to the context of the situation.

The context of the situation indicates that there was no need for a desperation throw.

The protection was good, there was ample opportunity to move around to extend the play, it was 3rd down.

Best case- make a play off the scramble. Worst case- throw the ball away and try again on 4th down.

We get a give up throw that slams the window shut and locks it.

you're armchair qbing. we were down 2 scores, and just got stuffed twice. every play moving forward was desperation. this wasn't a 1st quarter brain fart, it was a game we were likely losing and a forced play to possibly extend our slim hopes. again it was a bad play, and shouldn't have happened, but it's easy to understand (from my perspective)

Agreed, this won't show up on the box score.

We're all armchair QBing.

While I can and do understand your perspective, I can't cut the QB any slack for the poor choices he made culminating in the final nail in the coffin.

If I thought my QB was going to cave because he felt the game was already lost with 3 minutes left, and/or he was seeing ghosts because he didn't have all the starters on the o-line when they actually protected him very well on that play, I would lose faith in that QB both from an ability and a leadership standpoint.

That play, and a couple others in that game, are good examples of 'bad Dak' in a pressure situation. So far the only pressure situation he has had to deal with in this young season. Which is why I brought it up in my first post as an example to support my opinion that it is to early to judge Dak on any improvement on last year's propensity to toss some ints when he is needed to step up and make a play.

I think that is a very fair assessment given what we have seen so far. It's too bad some guys here, not you necessarily, can't get out of their feelings long enough to even try and honestly evaluate what they are seeing on Sunday.

I appreciate your even keeled approach to this difference in opinion, and not resorting to insults and temper tantrums like many seem destined to devolve to.

fair enough. I don't even remember the original comment I responded to that led to this exchange lol, so I'm not passionately invested. I agree with your points over all. When watching though, I was not particularly phased by the pick or the throw even while recognizing it was a poor choice. To that same end, I haven't been particularly moved by much else by him so far this year either. Despite our winning record.
