I've always had a problem reading this type of graph. I see Mahomes, Rodgers & Stafford listed further to the right between 0.20 & 0.30 (along with Foley & Kaapernick). I'm assuming the higher the QB epa number means the better the QB. Then I see Flacco & Lamar near the top of the graph between the -0.05 & 0.00. I'm assuming the top of the graph & the lower defensive epa numbers is for the better defenses.The funniest part of this thread is people don't understand what Quaterback EPA is and just say Dak bad Here let me help some of you guys out:
a statistic that measures how well a quarterback performs on a play-by-play basis. It's calculated by subtracting the expected points at the beginning of a play from the expected points at the end. EPA is adjusted for the difficulty of each play, such as the type and depth of a pass, and whether the quarterback was pressured.
Or should I just ignore these types of graphs?
