What exactly is the proof that the website has gone “downhill?” Do you have any metrics to back that up? Mods, do you want to chime in with some information? Also this is a forum, it’s an avenue where opinions are posted and having differing opinions means more traffic for a site. The last thing you want is for this place to become a tumblr style echo chamber
I have this guy blocked so I read very little of his post. You could possibly be dealing with a 12-13 year old kid.

I do feel bad for all the younger Cowboy fans (anyone under say 35-40) because yall dont have a clue what a great QB wearing the Star is. You have grown up being teased by an undrafted QB (Romo) and a 4th rounder (Dak) along with a bunch of other has beens or has nots playing at the QB position.

Back with Dallas was actually good and winning superbowls a QB like Dak or Romo would probably not even of made the team as a back up. Yeah there was that big of a difference. Sure it's a different time, different game and different players but the facts stills hold true, you want to win a superbowl you have to have an elite first round QB something Dallas has not had since our last superbowl win.

People don’t even post opinions anymore or debate….

I can tell you right now Dak and Romo were better than Rodney Peete and Jason Garrettt.

Well back then their only job was to carry a clip board and go fetch water for Troy. The same thing Romo or Dak would be doing back in that era if they were on the team

He’s much older because he bashed Romo for about 10 years going back to the official Dallas Cowboys sites forum . He basically was trolling Romo much like some of these are trolling Prescott now.

Can’t have a debate when a group of people simply scream “troll” anytime anyone has anything negative to say about Dak
You don’t have to be a troll to be trolling in threads. And that can go both ways with Homers and Haters.

If you basically take on the same message and antics in every subject related to our QB even when the threads aren’t about our QB then deterring or deflecting the subject of the thread derailing it to personal innuendos and agendas about Dak is in effect trolling the thread.

The younger generation don’t understand this. At the least, draft one somewhere in the draft, bring in a decent veteran every year or 2. Romo and Dak were never challenged. It’s Jerry’s world.

Does it though?

Romo/Dak just happen to be the only duo to accomplish this feat and it's the teams fault?

The lack of talent at the most important position in sports matters.
Well, there was a long drought between Staubach and Aikman, during which the talent level had dropped to such a degree that Jimmy thought his Miami team may have beaten the Cowboys. Between Aikman and Romo another long drought. QBs worse than Romo and Dak have been to conference championships and Super Bowls. Unlike some who love his stats, I never viewed Romo as elite because of his poor leadership (Cabo) and big time mistakes, though I always held out hope he would get us there as he matured. Dak is not an elite talent, but he is not preventing us from winning. The last two playoff losses to SF were not to better QBs, but better teams and coaching staffs. Both QBs have endured pathetic defenses, questionable OLs, and sometimes a lack of receiving talent.

It appears as if it has taken decades of failure and Mike McCarthy to finally convince Jerry that we cannot win without complimentary football. Jerry is finally paying attention to the defense, especially DB depth, LBs, and DTs. He is finally realizing that the OL needs depth as well as speed at WR.
What will be our undoing this year? Depth at WR? Lack of a veteran backup QB? Unproven depth/short yardage RB? Unproven TEs? It’s always something with Jerry, including two different years of garbage at WR.

Yeah, I was hoping that the 2 sides that differ on Daks worth could at least agree that the FO has done a miserable job at drafting or acquiring REAL depth and competition at the QB position beyond the starters

that is not the fault of Rayne or Antonio

Me too… was thinking Andrew Luck but he made it to one conference championship before retiring.

Not Dalton, he always bombed in the Wild Card, 4x. Which goes to show it could be worse, I guess.

Peyton Manning lost that many before winning his first Super Bowl. People forget Manning was kicked out 6x, only one going to Conference Championship, before winning it all. Along with his college career, dude was getting labeled as a choker.

Still time for Dak to turn it around. Still in his prime, and not like Romo who was already falling apart physically by the time he started getting it.
Yeah because Dark and Payton have a similar skill set. . . Talk about Wishful Thinking

I promise you there are some on here that look at a stat sheet and can’t tell the difference. That’s the only reason you see some of the stuff posted here.

No. It’s simply that the OP only speaks about Dak. Lol. If he would contribute to other threads about this franchise people would actually believe he isn’t a troll. You comment on a lot of different threads and players. I don’t view you as a troll at all. But when a poster ONLY posts about one player constantly, that’s a troll.

Have you read Jimmy Johnson’s book yet? Swagger? If not. Give it a read. You’ll understand this franchises failings since Jimmy left a lot more

Doesn't help when Romo was dealing with probably the worst management I think I've ever seen from a professional football team. This was pre Will McClay so the decisions were a special kind of stupid... Way back when Dallas was winning Super Bowls, the drafts, the coaching and the team building were night and day but Romo apparently didn't need any of that. He had Garrett, Jerry and Wade Phillips building a powerhouse with that special teams draft and the RW trade. That's 15 draft picks down the toilet in 2 years and people blame the QB? lol
