It's also an 8 game streak that has never been done before. Of course we need to see where he eventually ends up but why not celebrate the success as we receive it. Next week it will be just NINE games. And I will still have this ginormous cheese eating grin on my face.

Dak is not sole reason for Cowboys success, but he is A reason, a very important one. It may just be a confluence of events, but I for one will be enjoying every second of the ride. I am curious as to when all the haters will change their tune (not saying you're a hater), maybe 10 consecutive wins?
Who isn't celebrating the win streak? More importantly, who isn't celebrating the blessing that is Dak Prescott?? Lastly, how did pointing out mis-context evolve into a Haterade implication???

I've been watching football and fans for 40 years. I've seen different levels of fan appreciation for athletes before. For example, I witnessed how the joy Saints fans here had when Drew Brees signed for their team. Special stuff. Aikman. Elway. Manning (not Eli mind you lol). Just a few names. I'm giving it time but Prescott appreciation may not only eclipse all others that I've seen come out of college, it may shatter my past impressions of fan adoration.

That's a good thing. That could also be a bad thing. I couldn't care less about fans' feelings but I do appreciate the guys who play for us all. I hope the young man gets everything he has ever hoped for and more out of his career. And I hope he never has to deal with the personal disappointment of his (current) fans also because adoration has its dark side too.

Clearly said I was not referring to you with haters' comment. My comments were simply directed at "it's only fill-in-the-blank games" when speaking about Dak, Zeke or the Cowboys.

The touchdown in the corner against the Pack? It was a good throw in one on one coverage against a waiver wire cornerback. Very little risk and most QBs can make that throw... it was a good throw to the right spot.

Hyperbole obviously when I say zero but we've had around 250 pass attempts and I don't think 10 completions could be found that were thrown into tight windows or that had to be thrown with any worry about a defender. Drop back with all day to throw, wait for Beasley's man to fall down, throw ball, repeat.

RG3 had a passer rating of 102.4 at the end of his rookie season, so let's curb the enthusiasm
Good one. And there are others that had a great first 8 games, Marc Bulger is another.

However, the majority of them are still playing or ended some pretty fantastic careers. You might recognize names like Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Andy Dalton, Ben Roethlesberger, Cam Newton, and Russell Wilson, all on the top 20 passer ratings for first 8 games played. How many Suoer Bowls did you count?

To answer an earlier question Romo's first 8 games were very impressive 100.2 or 92.8 depending on whether his 2nd half entry into the Giant game counts as his first or if it is the next game. He has almost exactly the same completion percentage as Dak.

Would you disagree that Tony's first 8 games was a good indication?

But you are right there is the low probability that Dak's performance will fall drastically, if that is what you wish to dwell on.

Now, can you describe a possible scenario in which that might happen?
