I hope a winner comes along and breaks all these modern records that have been set because the league has changed.

Aikman or Staubach should own all the passing records.

Not losers like Romo and Dak.
I don’t disagree with your premise though I don’t feel Romo and Dak are losers just because the team didn’t win a Super Bowl.
Times change….rules, athletes, colleges passing instead of running the wishbone, and the length of the season from 12 to 14 to 16, now 17 games and more playoff teams and extra games.
Luckily, guys like Staubach and Aikman probably cherish their gold jackets more than any records. Most modern athletes like Romo and Dak won’t be getting one of those. I still believe Dak can help win a SB, but he’s clearly not getting a gold jacket. :)

To a simpleton who is incapable of seeing the big picture and is to lazy to peel the layers back.... Sure.
But the facts are he did come to a 4-12. You guys don't like when people say it because it goes against your argument. You have said Dak sucked for years....Weeden and Cassell sucked too. They won 0 games that year and Romo is the one I believe who won 3 of those guys. Dak did go to a 4 win team its facts.

 That’s odd that’s a weird flex. In13 years he’s been in the playoffs 4 times….
It actually isn't as far fetched as you think...
2004-05 Not the starter
2006 made the playoffs
2007 make the playoffs
2008 had team in first place in the east at 8-5. Got hurt and Brad Johson stunk up the last three games of the year and we missed.
2009 made the playoffs
2010 Got hurt 6 games in (we technically weren't out of playoff contention but were 1-5)
2011-12 lost last game of year to get knocked out. But started game in contention.
2013 lost last game of year to get bounced but Orton was QB
2014 made playoffs
2015 Got hurt 4 games in but was in first place at the time

Not saying he is better than Dak. I like both and honeslty don't understand the need to put one down to prop one up.

Just pointing out that he actually did not start a game in his career where the Cowboys were already elminated.

2008 had team in first place in the east at 8-5. Got hurt and Brad Johson stunk up the last two games of the year and we missed.
2009 madde the playoffs

I’m not denying what he’s saying. I’m just saying that’s a weird flex. He only made the playoffs four times so to have so many chances to make the playoffs but didn’t is not a accomplishment.

Oh I agree with you on that. Just mistook what you meant I suppose. It is kind of a wierd thing to look at. To be fair he really only was part of two of those last game collapses. Injuries accounted for 4 years we missed, plus your 13 years includes three years where he was not the starter.

It's a ridiculous argument in that it implies Dak took over a bad team and completely ignores all the reasons why the 15 team regressed from the very good 14 team.

It also ignores the fact that the 16 team was better than the very good 14 team.

Dak took over the best team since 07, and that is debatable.

Using the 15 team to prop up Dak is disingenuous at best.

These are facts. I always felt like we had a chance to make the playoffs every year we had Romo and was shocked to see we only made it 4 years but it makes sense when you factor in the blunders and injuries.

Just goes to show how fragile Romo became. Hope Dak doesn't go down that road, because this team has a chance.

It’s not disingenuous. The team won 4 games. Just because you don’t have Romo does not give you an excuse to go winless. If you go winless you are a bad team. Dak got hurt and we still were able to win. But y’all have been spoon fed by the Garrett era to think you can’t win unless your team is 100 percent healthy. That is a bad team. Plain and simple. 2015 was a bad team.
