This is not a winning formula unfortunately.

There will come a time when the QB has to make plays. Arizona showed that and San Fran will show it again.
So the Dallas defense did not make any plays to help? But it is all Dak’s fault?

You expect the Dallas defense to play like they did against the Pats every week.

I know that is unrealistic and won't work against the better teams.

Therefore I know that the QB position is going to have to make some plays and having only 1 more TD than the defense does through 4 games is not sustainable.

If Arizona taught you nothing just keep watching. You'll see.

Same goes for you, watch the defense on the other 3 games Arizona game. if the defense plays like that it does matter matter who we play or how the offense plays.

Sometimes the defense needs to make stops just as an offense needs to score.

You are still saying it all comes down to the QB when it does not.

Wow. First I’m not a Dak hater. But a bad ball is a bad ball. Can you not admit that? Or is the Dak love so strong…
I did not call you a hater. I said anti Dak crowd, which is a general term.

Yes he throws and passes, all QBs do.
But using an almost pick is not a stat. Just like a dropped TD form his TE”s. They are just an incomplete passes in the stat line.

But sometimes it does. QB needs to win games when we shouldn’t. Nature of the position

Swap Prescott and Jones around which quarterback looks better?

Not saying Jones is better than Prescott but one plays on an absolutely loaded roster whilst the other plays behind a horrific offensive line and bad roster.

You and I both know the defense is not going to play like that every week.

There is no defense in the history of the NFL that played like that every week.

If the QB wasn't the most important player when it comes to deciding games then they wouldn't be the most paid.

You can downplay the importance of the position all you want too, but the owners and GMs says without a QB you're nothing.

He's thrown a few more that could have been picked, one a pick 6.

He's been above average for the most part. You have to remember, most of his passes are from the West Coast Offense short yardage philosophy. I would hope he doesn't thrown interceptions with those.
Lots of QBs run the WCO and still throw plenty of picks. Ask Kirk Cousins, Zach Wilson and Mac Jones.

Swap Dak with Purdy or Dak with Hurts. How would Dak look playing on those team?

Yes of course it will come down to a QB needs to make plays. However, the entire team does as well.
Do I have 100% confidence Dak can do this all time. No I don’t, he needs to prove that he can. He has before, but he also failed. Which he has done most I don’t know.

They have come back stats. But the only time I seen failed stats was used against Romo. Funny they only applied that for December games though.

To apply that everything is always on Dak. Is not the way.

And that’s the only way we’ll continue to win, the defense has to carry us. Those tight games are coming. Then we’ll see.

Really?
Geez.......
That INT eliminated any chance of a come back.
Easily one of the worst decisions I have ever seen for a QB 8 years in. The excuses never stop. They love their lists and rankings, miraculously they never want to to talk about him being the 18th ranked QB vs zone defenses. I wonder why? Details, details, amIright?

Last time I knew dropped balls don’t count as an INT.
This is one of the most insane excuses the anti Dak crowd likes to use. Only they keep track of Almost intercepted passes.
Montana had a pick 6 dropped in the Super Bowl against the Bengals.

You still had 3+ minutes and three time outs left. Plenty of time. There is plenty of data out there to back up dak with, lowering the bar doesn’t help though.
Cardinals got the ball and ran the clock out. 3 first downs running the ball. It didnt matter. The game was OVER.

The Giants were in a tough position if they didn’t pay Jones, and he walked who’s their QB? He was coming off his best season, and he did lead them to a playoff win. They pretty much had to extend him. If the Cowboys lose tomorrow and Dak doesn’t play well, we all know the intense bashing he will receive. It will be relentless! He’s a good QB but tomorrow will be another litmus test to whether he’s the answer. The doubters/haters are never going to go away unless he can beat a team like San Francisco. This will be a measuring stick for him and the team.
That type of thinking is what gets these teams in bad contracts. His best season was 15 TD passes? Lol Dobbs or any rookie QB could've got that for them. Their success last year was more due to their running game, QB has been their weakness since Eli retired
