Dak Prescott- Kirk Cousins

Dalton and rush are backups for a reason, I think anyone can agree having an offense score 3 tds with a backup is as good as you can ask for. Dalton started 14 games for the saints this season and averaged 20 points a game, he started nine games in dallas and averaged 23 points a game. Rush started five games and averaged 21 ppg. How many points are you expecting to put up consistently with a backup?

I’m just trying to keep up. I’m told Dak sucks and should be in the CFL or a backup….I’m told in the same sentence he has no weapons or offensive line….yet the offense is only productive with him. I’ve 49ers look solid from Jimmy G to Purdy…their second and third stringers…..I mean it’s clear Shanahan is a mastermind and you guys are trying to tell me Moore is too….yet you give him the excuse of having backups. Just goal post moving….

Team stats show that Dak is clearly better? I knew you would resort to this. That's why I kept asking.

Once again your stance on proving who the better player is based upon W-L or stats is ludicrous.

There's tons of HOF quarterbacks who have horrible records in the playoffs. Some have won at least one superbowl and there's several who never won it.

Marino, Fouts, moon, Jorgensen, Kelly, just off the top of my head.

So is Dak better then them? Then there's a good ide say 3 or 4 QB that Dak is better then that have won a superbowl due to pure luck or struck lightning in a bottle

If you really want to push the stat button Cousins has a better QBR then Dak in the playoffs

He was a 7th round rookie who looked better in the NFL than college…..and you don’t think that was because of Shanahan? It still doesn’t explain why Kellen can only have a productive offense with the guy who lead the league in picks….

Dak has played on superior to vastly superior teams depending on the years.

Again Rush is a backup, his job is a game manager and he handled that role perfectly. When Rush started we averaged 21 points a game, with Dak it was 31 ppg. I'm not one of the Dak isn't a starter guy, I can see him being worth an extra 7-10 points a game

Sure it will, but them two extra wins could be for a variety of reasons, not having a worst scoring offense

If the lower rankings are because the offense commits fewer turnovers and dominates time of possession and is able to grind out wins on the ground at the end as well as protecting the defense by asking it to be on the field a lot less then they could indeed score fewer points and still be a superior offense. But in reality the reasons for the two extra wins won't matter to me. As long as we get them.

The offense was ranked nearly last until Prescott came back. Rush is a nice back up, nothing more, nothing less.
And points per game includes the rushing TDs, so lets not pretend he didn't benefit from that being healthy.
