Dak Prescott on Cowboys second-year TE Jake Ferguson

Schoonmaker is a good all around tight end.
"...Schoonmaker should be drafted in the third or fourth round.”

"...Schoonmaker is the TE6 of this class and carries a current draft projection of a mid-third-round pick with a 3.75 draft grade."

"...CBS’ Ryan Palmer has the Cleveland Browns taking Schoonmaker in the fourth round, The Athletic’s Dane Brugler sees the Buffalo Bills grabbing him in the third, and NFL.com has him falling to the Jacksonville Jaguars in the third."

"Final Grade: 4th/5th Round"

Time will tell but there was a sense he was drafted too early.

What happens if schoon turns out good and your beloved draft experts were wrong? You just get happy and forgetting about your constant complaining? I'm interested to know.

Many said that Tyler Smith was drafted too early.

Oh look, 'rambo' is liking you sticking up for him. Such an endearing quality.

That's fair. The Cowboys clearly disagree. They wanted to improve the blocking AND they wanted a receiving TE to replace Schultz. The best one they wanted was right there so they took him.
I disagree he was the best one they wanted. Probably just the last one left on their tier.

Also worth noting Kittle was a 5th-round pick, not a 2nd like Schoonmaker, and had put together back-to-back decent pass-catching seasons for an Iowa program that has a history of producing quality TE's....whereas Schoonmaker had 1 decent season out of 5 years in Michigan, a pointed out run first program.
Well since Kittle was a 5th rounder and Schoon was a second rounder this must mean he’s on a good track?
