Yes, but at least he tried to get the ball down to field from time to time, and he had a **** roster to work with.
He took us to the playoffs in '03 with Troy Hambrick as the RB and mentored a young Romo.

Quincy couldn’t mentor himself.

Do you remember those Five Points blue episodes that were on video on the official Team website some years back?

There was one about Carter and Romo

I'll try to rewatch it sometime and again I'm going from a memory from some years back but I'm pretty sure that's what was said. Can't remember by who
I seem to remember that too.

Yeah, Dak has no timing, can't throw deep or to a spot.

Some of those are why I am so frustrated by Dak lately. He USED to have decent pocket presence. He USED to throw deep.

I still like him, unlike many on here, I just hate that's he's regressed in some areas. I suppose with our offensive coaches, and yes I get the pun, it's to be expected.

No he didn't. The #1 D in the NFL took us to the playoffs. Quincy was along for the ride w/ 17 TD's and 21 INT's.

Prime Quincy had a hell of an arm. I believe as powerful, if not more than Pat Mahomes.

Look at that throw!

Quincy could have all the talent in the world and it would almost be irrelevant due to his "other" flaws.

So many web links state how Quincy had and was known for having an extremely strong arm.

Quincy could throw a decent deep ball, that's true. He could probably throw a better deep ball then Aikman, that's true. However, Quincy didn't have close to the kind of Arm Troy had. A strong arm is how quickly and accurately you can get the ball from point a to point b and Troy could get it there on time, with stupid velocity in a blink. The real test of arm strength is not the 60 yard deep ball, it's the deep out from the far hash on a line. That's what Troy could do as well as anybody I've ever watched play the game.

True statement.

I beg to differ. Aikman did have a very big arm, but I believe the videos below show Quincy's arm was just a little bigger.

So I explain that real arm strength is not the deep ball but instead, it's the deep out throw from the opposite Hash Mark that is thrown with velocity on a line and you show me a series of clips of Quincy Carter throwing the Deep Ball.

OK.

We just disagree.
