Dak Prescott: overrated or overhated

offseasons

I like the terminology. Wish I thought of it. He is clearly over-hated. But last year gave the goofballs like crappydog the ammo they've been waiting for. He needs to be better than he was in 22. I believe losing Moore and gaining Cooks will help. We'll see.

I don't need to watch 28 minutes (which I didn't) of some unknown person's vignette regarding Dak, who's a seven year veteran. The dude, had a "bad" fluke year, throwing on a recovered injured hand. Historically, he isn't the turnover machine he was last year. Hence, there will not be a reoccurrence.

Some of the blame has to be on K Moore. Just look at this last play against SF. You can actually hear Kellen say "Watch this, I'm gonna kill them with this one!" IDIOT

Romo did not get the love until he hung up the cleats my guy

It was pretty bad too
Sorry, but Romo got a lot of love right from the very start, because the Cowboys spent five years going through QB hell trying to find one. Romo excited the entire fanbase when he took over in 2006, because it appeared we finally found a QB after going through at least eight of them. The fans back then were starved for a QB that would give us hope. Many of the fans that hate Dak, hate him because he took over for Romo and got him released. Go look at the poll that was started during the 2016 season when the Cowboys were in the middle of an 11 game winning streak. Most wanted Romo to get his job back, despite how great we were playing with Dak. The fanbase has been bashing him ever since.

Yup. Mostly, people on this board rate him about right.
Just like most people on the old boards rated Romo...

...and they were wrong. :muttley:

I'll take most people's on this board's Dak rating as a good sign for the Cowboys.
;)

Nailed it!

As someone who would prefer a good number of QBs over Prescott on the football field, he is overhated. Easily.

I believe that because some fans seem to obsess over him. There are some people on this forum with thousands of posts - all dedicated to talking negatively about Dak. Posting message after message, every day, every week, every month, about someone they don’t like. It is weird.

Some fans also take shots at him as a person, or his personality, and it’s frankly ridiculous considering everything we know about Prescott off the field.

When Romo took over for Bledsoe I was definitely on the Romo-train. We needed more than the aging , stationary Bledsoe was giving us and Romo showed up with great mobility and some saavy. By the same token, when Dak came on the scene he was, to me anyway, a welcomed change from the oft-injured, turnover prone qb that Romo had become. Parcells said before he retired that Romo was good but you had to keep him under control. Under Garrett it seemed they wanted him to a gunslinger and he began to be more and more aloof with the ball.
He was being called 'turnover tony!' and Dak was the 'bus driver' that we needed who didn't play hero ball and take unnecessary chances with the ball. Just what we needed as our run game was gaining steam. Garrett and Moore did their best to coach that out of him. They were allergic to the run game. They jettisoned Murray after he lead the league and steadily reduced Zekes usage even after giving him a big contract. McCarthy is right to return to leaning on the run game, especially situationally. Hopefully McCarthy can get some of it back.

We will know a lot more after this year. Right now a case can be made either way.

We need W's in the playoffs. Those make the case even easier to make no matter which way he is now.
Learn football. Qbs dont win and lose games by themselves.

So are you saying that hebert sucks?

He lead the #1 scoring offense in football for the 3rd year in a row.

About 50% of your claims are complete and total BS.
