I was just waiting…

Moore started off 3-0 here, including Dak throwing for over 400 yards and 4 TDs against the Giants in 2019. But by the Miami game, even though the offense poured it on when Moore went up-tempo, Dak was complete garbage the first half. Then Dallas went into a tail-spin with his garbage play, until they beat up some really bad teams that made his fan-boys think he was “elite”.

Anybody that thought the offense didn’t take a step down with the departure of Moore was just trying to find validate in the scapegoat argument. They actually look worse. Anytime you got to dumb down an offense, when you gave a top-tier RG, you are mediocre. This is not like an elite QB getting help from the RG type of situation.

Dallas was 21st in the red-zone last week and they probably took a major step down. Dallas was FIRST last year and SIXTH the year before. They played two horrible offenses two games prior to today, one of them against Zach Wilson. When you get out to big leads against bad offenses because of a top-tier defense, there is zero pressure as a QB to perform. This has always been Dak’s MO,

His problems are when the game is slow, decisions have to be made that have greater consequences and he has to play from behind. He is mentally slow. The guy just sits there staring. He stares down his early reads. His horrible accuracy on large part because he is slow and needs to see his WRs open.

This guy should have apparently had a pick 6 last week, was aided by some questionable calls to keep drives alive and just dumb penalties by the Jets players. His INT again, into triple coverage, staring his WR down the whole time was again evidence of how bad he is.

Nothing of the first two games told us anytime about this Cowboys team other than Dak being the crutch once again. His fanboys were yapping the glory of McCarthy on a pick play in a bunch formation to Lamb, as if Moore wasn’t running plenty of bunch formations. This is how much they’ve been grasping at straws trying to find some validation for Dak.

He’s on YEAR 8. Even Moore was working with him for three prior years, meaning when he came into the picture as OC, it wasn’t some new thing where he was completely oblivious to his tendencies or even how the overall offense was working.
If you listen to Micah's interviews, when asked about Dak his reply can be summed up in "he aight...".

Actually I’d take Cousins over Dak; we often compare the two but cousins arm is definitely better. He has to play to overcome a bad defense, his Washington defense was always right around last place as well. Dak didn’t win these ladt two games that was defense and all the smokers here will say it was game plan. No one plans to have three turnovers and do nothing with short field’s

The defense made adjustments at the half and the offense did nothing with it. McCarthy went for the 4th down instead of the FG largely because we needed the 7 to get is closer. There was no guarantee that Dak was going to get us back down there again.

The regression is obvious, a 40+million bus driver, who can only win with defense takeaways and power running games. When the game is close and the other defense plays coverage, he either throws picks( last year) or does not get it done in redzone.

I've defended Dak for years. I love his story and just him as a person. To me his answers are very Jason Garrett like. It's always work on being better, etc. I think Dak is better than some fans want to give him credit but I just don't ever see him being a needle mover. Don't turn the ball over and manage the game. That's essentially his sole goal every week.

Just to reiterate the brilliance of this post.

There will be no championships with Dak. Why does it matter if he is a good guy or not. He is being paid to be an elite QB and he certainly is not elite. I consider him a journeyman and always will. He just does not have the proproiceptive skills nor football intelligence of elite qbs.

Texans drafted CJ Stroud who's the first quarterback in NFL history to have at least 900 passing yards, four pass touchdowns and zero interceptions in his first three career starts.

Would you rather be a rebuilding Texans or an above average team with an average 30 year old QB killing your salary cap?

It's just crazy to me that this organization and a large part of the fanbase want to keep him around even longer. How many more years are you supposed to keep a starting QB who hasn't taken you far in the playoffs? 10 years? 15 years? We are pretty much the only team who has kept a QB with this resume around for this long. If any other team was doing this, we'd all be laughing at them and saying how big of a mistake they're making.

McCarthy was afraid to let Dak throw in the last minutes. Just wasting time off the clock. Then when Dak has no choice but to throw the interception king returns. That's it in a nutshell. If the defense has a bad game we have no chance. Aubrey was our best Offensive weapon.
