It's just crazy to me that this organization and a large part of the fanbase want to keep him around even longer. How many more years are you supposed to keep a starting QB who hasn't taken you far in the playoffs? 10 years? 15 years? We are pretty much the only team who has kept a QB with this resume around for this long. If any other team was doing this, we'd all be laughing at them and saying how big of a mistake they're making.
Dak has more value to the Cowboys than just his on-field stats.
He is a very likeable guy, does great things in the community, is the Walter Payton Man of the Year winner, and is the perfect face of the franchise, and sells a ton of jerseys and tickets.
As long as he just plays decent and keeps the team relevant, that is all Jerry and Steven really care about.
Like I have said a million times already, winning is not the end all be all goal of Jerry and Steven, making money is way more important and that is why Dak is still around after 8 yrs of basically winning nothing.
