Dak Prescott's shortcomings are impacting the club's coaching decisions, approach

You asked if we wouldve won with a different QB and I think we couldve with a better QB who put together a complete game and not just the second half.

Also two things can be true at once.
One: the FO sucks, and has since Jimmy left, and two: Dak isnt an elite QB.

That doesnt mean he isnt good, just that he isnt good enough, doesnt have the “it” factor and is really much like Kirk Cousins.
i dont think Dak is elite but i also dont think every QB who wins a SB needs to be elite...I have seen great teams take good even average QB's to a SB win i have never seen an elite QB take a bad team to a SB win...but when i say maybe its the FO fault some here lose thier minds like im defending Dak when im just stating the obvious..this FO is and has been bad for 30 years...

You’re all over the place I don’t know if you’re talking about rookie year Dak or 2023:Dak
I'm not surprised you don't know what I'm talking about.

Not all over the place at all. I thought it was pretty clear I was talking about the losses in close games.

You're the Dak Prescott of posters. Good enough when things are easy but never able to bring it home when it gets real.

There you go. That's my point. If you set the bar at "SB win" you have a point, but if you relax that just a bit to SB or conf championship game your point falls apart.

This team has been good enough to go farther then they have with just a play or two from the QB to lift them there.

Even Dilfer, Foles and Flacco had to make a play or two to get their rings.

For those that dont feel like reading the whole article, heres a quick summary:

The Cowboys want to run the ball more because

-Dak is injury prone
-Dak is immobile leading to more sacks
-They dont trust Dak to win games with his arm
If they know this why did they extend him last year ? Pefect opportunity tonlet him play on final year deal and cut bait , start fresh …..

When does it get real?

Great points.

And that would've been a sound decision for a winning FO..the problem is this FO doesnt do things they think will win..they do things they think will help Marketing..which brings you 30 years of what we have.

I'm going to pull a AC on you.

If you don't like the FO, find a different team! lol

The Cowboys lack of desire to pay outside free agents is impacting their coaching decisions, approach.

Dak took a stacked passing offense to win 12 regular season games 3 times in a row and included a 2nd place MVP finish.
Dak's inability to win in the playoffs while being outrushed by the other team by over 100 yards is pretty much equivalent to any QB who ever lived.
Since 2017 Dallas has played 6 playoff games. Dallas has won EVERY game they allowed less than 110 yards rushing to the opponent.
The 4 losses they have allowed a total of 698 rushing yards.
They have rushed for 326.....

What would you feel about OT as the RT in the 1st round ...
12Armand MembouMissouriJrOT36-4332

Then in the 2nd round ... #44
DT Alfred Collins TX

What did the Eagles do to Moutain Mahomes?
That has nothing to do with what the defense did to Mahomes, but what Dak would do if given the same opportunity as Hurts. Could Dak win the game without a running game?

Oh wait, the Eagles did have a running game in the SB without Barkley. Hurts ran for 72 yards, with a number of key runs extending drives. Can Dak do that too?

Dak defenders need to acknowledge the truth: He wins during the regular season and loses in the postseason. Put the blame wherever you want. The recond doesn't lie.

Because they have no idea how to address the position. After drafting Troy in 89, they have drafted 1 QB in the top-3 rounds in 35 years. Quincy Carter.

They treat the QB position like they treat free agency. They are scared to miss and set the team back, even though we have been set back for 30 years now!

Romo and Dak weren’t the problem. Just look at all the trash that has been in the SB…..Foles, Eli, Dilfer, Grossmam, Jake Delhomme….but I’m supposed to believe Romo and Dak the problem. Yall gotta wake up man.

Oh, more of the yearly offseason "We're going to be a run team to protect the highest paid player ever and make him do less" narrative.

This team, FO, and coaching staff operate like losers.
I don't think the front office has any choice at this point. They have to roll with their race horse - Dak.

We will see on the field the results of that bet.

They had a choice a year ago.

Now I hope they don't win a single game for the remainder or loser Dak's contract.
