I was referring to known critics like in the media you can link. Anonymous members on a fan forum don’t qualify:)
Ha-Haaaaaaaaaa, get out here. Go start up a new Toad Hunter fan club. As the president of this new fan club you could send every new member a brand-new FROG GIG to take to the games....................

What question? I say Rush should be given the reins to lead this team. We all witnessed the CRAP show the Toad Hunter brought to town in the second half of last season. We also witnessed another CRAP show in the one and done playoff appearance. The Toad Hunter can't refuses to show up when he's competing against descent teams. Oh, sure he'll get his numbers in those games because teams are playing prevent D because of the leads they have on the Boys. The Toad Hunter has turned into a slow starter which results in 3 and outs and all that does is take the air out of his teammates!
So you want Rush to start and get rid of Dak based off one game? Put the beer down...

Any proof of Dak's garbage time stats, while teams were in prevent defense? Specific games and dates please, because people constantly say this without ever proving it.

Oh and Dak's record vs. .500+ teams is surprisingly comparable to the top qb's in the league. Unless you have stats that say otherwise.

o_O It's best to wait another 8 years before making that assessment being Romo played 14 years verses Dak's 6.

That said, Romo & Dak are the ONLY quarterbacks after Aikman to win a playoff (s). Of those 10 in between quarterbacks, not even the great Drew McQueen Bledsoe won a playoff. What's that tell you?! It takes a very good quarterback to win against hideous coaching staffs.

Hopefully Dak won't be wasted as Romo was. Because I doubt we'll see a 3rd consecutive decent quarterback at center when Dak is finished.
Only time Romo was "Wasted" was in 2016

I would have to say that, unless they have an historic defense, a Sper Bowl team must have an elite quarterback.

that's not a good quarterback or above average quarterback. They must be elite level.

Here is the list of QB's that have started on SB championship teams since the turn of the century.

Russel Wilson
Aaron Rodgers
Ben Roethlesberger
Brad Johnson
Drew Brees
Eli Manning
Joe Flacco
Matthew Stafford
Nick Foles
Patrick Mahomes
Peyton Manning
Tom Brady

Brad Johnson's Tampa Bay team was the dominant defense of their time and so was Dilfer's Baltimore team, I think we can all agree on that.

Eight of the QB's were drafted in the 1st round, three of them #1 overall. Three others were also top 11 overall. Rodgers slid down to #24, any problem if I call him elite? Brees was the first pick in the 2nd round. That leaves Foles and GOAT.

Unless your quarterback is a top draft pick or his name is Tom Brady, your team is not going to win a SB without a dominant defense.

Actually, if the Cowboys happen to win the SB this season, it should put to rest the debate as to whether Dak Prescott is an elite QB.

It's real simple
If Dak plays like he did the first half of last season he is a huge asset.
If he plays like he did after the Pats game and during the playoffs he is a liability.

Base on one game?????? No, based on Dakota's time with the Boys he's made it clear that he can't compete with the big boys in the league. For whatever reason the dude struggles when he goes up against just AVERAGE teams, let alone the better teams and it's dragging this team down. DCs in the league know that they cannot be beat by Dakota "Toad Hunter" Prescot if he has to air it out to win a game. Oh, sure he's going to get his yards and that's only because most of the time he's going up against prevent defenses because teams have jumped out to large leads on the Boys because Dakota can't get a rhythm going on offence. Dakota probably leads the league year in and year out on 3 and Outs! This team can't win and won't be appearing in a SB anytime soon with the Toad Hunter leading this team. It's time for a change and I don't mind if Rush get's his shot at leading this team to the promise land, aslo one more option is on the table and that's trading for Jimmy G in SF!

It's either stats or game film, choose one and prove your points because now you're just guessing about the "prevent defense". If not I'm just gonna take your claims as hear-say or a lie you conjured in your head and move on...

Saying "probably" doesn't cut it as evidence or proof to back up your claims. If you want less talented qb's to start in the place of Dak, just say that and choose a different team.

Ha-Haaaaaa, Guessing??????? Let's talk about the game against Phenix, they bagged the Toad Hunter to throw the ball and when he did he was terrible! They played loose and loaded up near the line of scrimmage which resulted in NO run game because Toadie couldn't burn them with his $.50 arm. Got anything else fan club president???????

Once we all get past the pros and cons our franchise qb presents what we all should be able to agree on is he’s enough to build around and enough to deliver a consistent playoff contender.

Yes, we’d much rather have a Rodgers or Mahomes but the reality is there simply aren’t enough of those caliber QB’s to go around. And we should be more comfortable with one of the QB’s in the next best group.

Much like the Cardinals appreciate being a playoff contender again than a 4-6 win team looking for a franchise QB.

Any team with a franchise qb in this best of the rest to above average should feel fortunate because it brings some stability and foundation to build around.

The rest is up to having a better front office and coaching staff to build around your franchise QB strengthening up other areas of weakness.

Your definition of "stability" is interesting, and I must say, I do not agree with you. Stability... and instability for that matter, with all of the nuances in between, could be debated and discussed endlessly. And frankly, I do not have that kind of time.

Terrible how? Dak THREW 3 TD's that game (he did have a bad TO).

Missed kick, Gallup blew up his knee, and the Def. allowed 400 yards. But yep that loss was soley on Dak /s

Let me guess... those are just excuses to cover how terrible Dak is lol

No, I recently begun the Dak threads to help squash the Dak trolls.
All one of them? You admitted that you only knew for certain that there was one troll on this board. Does squashing this one troll require days of creating new threads and posts? You are going for overkill here. One troll is not that big of a deal. Leave the one, or more, trolls alone.

Yes he did. His first one was actually this past season in OT against the raiders. That brutal pass to Noah brown.
I know its just one play but that one broke me. Perfect time to give noah a spot light and some confidence and he throws an easy pass in the dirt. Grrrr.

He was Mister 3 and out that whole game and the yards he got were given to him because the Cards knew he couldn't beat them on their worst day in the league. The Toad Hunter is a straight up bum who can't beat the good clubs in the league. Go a head and hang your hat on the second half fader!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You know the more I thought about this the more you are right.

He never really had a realistic chance with those 8-8 teams (that were really 5-11 without him). 2016 was the year we had a shot. I kind of feel the same about last year with Dak. I don't think we will have a better chance because I think he will slowly decline in both physical attributes and confidence and frankly the team is just not that good.

I just looked up Dak Prescott record stats. He had one heck of a rookie year..
That was Daks best season, a long time ago in NFL time, and why most that are so critical on Dak are correct.
Most build off a rookie season, but Dak has only regressed, or the rest of the league quickly identified his weaknesses.
The only way I see Dak ever being competent in this league again is if he builds the mental part of his game exponentially, and I dont believe he can do that, but I hope Im wrong.

So creating Dak troll threads in a attempt to squash them is brilliant in your mind. You have truly lost it.Your hypocrisy is sad at best. I bet you give yourself gold stars for all the trolls you fight everyday. Being a CZ troll Fighting CZ trolls is priceless. Do you wear a cape at the keyboard?

Dak was coming off an injury last year, still had a good start, hurt his calf....that type of injury lingers and will affect performance as well as play calling. He did have some poor games....was it all on him or did the poor line performance and injuries to Zeke and Pollard have something to do with that? Coop missed games, Gallup missed games, Cee Dee was third in drops in the NFL and Jarwin was out....many factors....at the end of the day, Dak is the face of the offense and needs to take a step forward this season. Hopefully, we can stay healthy and our OL steps it up, so that we can see what he can really do.
Hopefully at the ripe seasoned age of 29 we can finally celebrate Daks coming out party.
Its OK to be a little slow Dak, Cowboys fans have learned to be very patient.
