leary is going to be tested with geno, he's already had trouble with quick guys
Agreed.

But I don't think that having Collins in there would change anything.

The OL from here on out will have to prove again that they are the best as a group in the NFL.

They are under enormous pressure having lost 2 starters already and Free being hurt, too.

Not sure we can depend on them if anybody else gets hurt.

I don't like it.

No need to give extra motivation

Team will love nothing more than exposing a hotshot rookie, he better back it up...

You talk when you've accomplished something... Stay humble until then.

Saying we'll keep on doing what we've been doing for the last four weeks sounds good, anyhow -- ya gotta love the guy's confidence! :flagwave:
They will just do what they are doing until some team has the game plan and personnel to stop it.

That's going to happen at some point.

The trick is offensively let's not help them with fumbles and interceptions.

I'd like DAK to continue his interception streak and break Bradys record..

then he needs to throw a pic and get that pressure off of himself..

and relax and just make the throws to win games.

Romo has thrown lots of interceptions in his career and had fumbles..

some game killers.

He had to pull back and take better care of the ball..

and he learned.

So will DAK.

I'll just say.......

If Carson Wentz said this about the Cowboys, some here praising Prescott would be claiming Wentz (or any QB for that matter) would be trash talking.

He was able to handle JJ Watts, so I know he can rise to the occasion. We'll see if he does.....

True, but that was JJ Watt with a bad back. And I realize JJ Watt with a bad back is still playing at a higher level than 95% of the DE's in this game....

Everyone will like anything Dak says right now. He's the talk of the Dallas Cowboys and everybody is loving him right now.

I just watched several pre game shows on youtube, and one thing they all tend to say is
Dak cant go on not throwing int's !!!!!!!!!! he just cant, he is a rookie, and even vets throw int's , so he better start doing
that soon !
They just cant believe it, and like shannon sharpe doesnt like the cowboys, so he and others may throw a party
when Dak finally has a int.
They also say sooner or later he has to have a bad game lol !

It is like they cant believe it, and they dont like it, so it would be really funny if Dak can keep the no int thing going for a few more games,
and not have a bad game rest of season.

And of course they all say dallas hasnt played anyone good yet, but they have done good, but now this next game and one after
are statement games.
I think they all think and want dallas to get beat by cin, dak to have several ints, and have a bad game.

So now more than ever I want him to have a great game , win and no int's!!!!!

I want him to drive these people nuts with the no int thing !!!

Maybe we got lucky and when Dak threw the interception last week that was dropped, that used up his quota for at least a week:thumbup:

I don't doubt for a second that some team and very possibly the Bengals might well be that team. I think Dak realizes what kind of a threat he'll be up against, yet he wasn't deterred from oozing confidence that he and his teammates would succeed. I was just saying how I respect that kind of moxie in our QB, even if it's partly just youthful bravado speaking in defiance of being fearful of the task at hand. Dak isn't one to be overly timid, yet he seems aware of the need to maintain caution.

As far as the turnovers are concerned, Dak and Linehan are apparently doing something right. They've been limiting the interceptions to zero thus far. There's no doubt the streak will end sometime. I doubt it'll affect Dak in some negative fashion, though.

At some point, both Linehan and Dak will get the confidence to go deeper downfield as long as his development allows him doing so successfully. I think Linehan will also sense when the time is right to call passes that require more daring as long as they find success. Let's hope so anyhow. Dak's accuracy has improved favorably since his college days. That's a good sign, even better if it continues.

Agreed.

Until the OL is 100% healthy,

but probably not until.

Maybe after the Bye Week..

Linehan needs to protect DAK still.

Holding the ball for deeper routes invites more sacks and QB injuries..

Don't want to see Sanchez right now.

He probably is still learning the playbook.

No doubt about learning the playbook -- he's just getting his feet wet in that capacity. I'm pretty sure Linehan won't turn him loose until he feels supremely confident that the time is right. For now, there's no need to rush things. I'd really be surprised if they did. It'll come in due time, I'm sure.

Let's hope it's sometime AFTER the NFL record for number of consecutive throws without an interception. (And not just the one for a rookie.)

That'd be great, although as long as we keep doing things right and winning, the records will take care of themselves. I know we all long for those days of yesteryear when we felt strongly we'd win well before game time came due. It'll take time, no doubt. At least we're on the upswing for the time being. Hopefully, most of our walking wounded will heal well enough to permit the "Ws" to continue. We'll see.

That's one way to see it, alright and I can respect what you're saying. Dak was fed a challenging line by a media type that seemed to be aiming at testing his bravado, though, and of course, being young, bold and confident, Dak responded accordingly. I didn't take it as bragging quite so much as exuding the kind of confidence necessary to win when being introduced to a somewhat intimidating challenge. Hopefully, Dak and the team will be able to follow through with "doing what they've been doing" to tame their visitors on Sunday. Let's also hope that bravado doesn't backfire -- lol.
