Dak ranked higher than Tony Romo ever was in top 100

Agree. I pretty much wrote off the top 100 list thing, but again having Romo ranked so low just continued to show bias against him. He was a borderline MVP after the 2014 season and he only got to 34. Complete BS.
Sure is sad that Romo could not win a popularity contest among players who in previous years voted Donovan McNabb to the list after he basically was benched or Watt when he played three games. This is just yet another slap in the face, let me tell you.

The NFL Network's Top 100 should never be taken seriously. It's been proven over and over to be a joke. Great conversation starter, tho.

Pretty much.

Having injured players in the top 100 just shows how biased they are towards those players.

Romo would never get in the top 100 like Manning did under any circumstance.

Anybody with any sense would pick Romo over Eli but the youngest Manning has a better chance to get into the Hall because of the rings. As James Hetfield once said, "You know it's sad but true"

Team accomplishments and a last name will get Eli in the HOF... True.

Romo might still get in though because his stats are up there with all time greats and he will be on our TV every Sunday calling games.

Well the list is for the following season, so why can't injured players be on the list?

I think Eli is going to get into the hall because he's the only QB from his era to beat the Tom Brady-led Patriots in a Super Bowl, and he did it twice. Meanwhile the Patriots usually dunked on Peyton Manning hard, and buried two NFL MVPs in Super Bowls (Ryan and Warner.)

The longer the Patriots are dominant the better it will make Eli look. He's basically the modern Jim Plunkett, except Plunkett didn't beat the 70s Steelers or 80s 49ers in his two Super Bowls.

It's really that simple.
Unfortunately it probably is that simple, but my qualifier is that Romo was on a bunch of lame a ss teams. His best team was the 2014 one that went up to GB and should have come home with a dam victory, but once again Romo was snakebit even though he made a beautiful 4th down clutch as they come throw to Dez for the win...Defense still sucked in 2014 too as it did in 2016.

Love Dak, but Romo really should have at the minimum 1 SB trophy...with a decent team around him. Really a shame that Eli's has two and yet Romo was always twice the QB that Eli was...TEAM is what it's all about.

Yeah except come into the league, post the best rookie stats of all time and take a 4-12 team to the 1 seed in the NFC. Not to mention getting vets to follow him more than they every followed Romo. I am not saying Romo wasnt a leader, but Dak is on a different level. You can hear it when his teammates talk about him.

more than they ever followed Romo?

what are you smoking?

The biggest reason that the NFL top 100 list tends to be garbage is that NFL players aren't analysts. A good number of them know their job and who their specific areas of influence are and from what I can tell precious little outside of it. My guess is a poll of the coaches would produce a much better list as would a poll of some of the more analytically minded reporters would probably produce a better list. I'd bet there aren't 17 players that scouts/GMs would say is a better player then Tyron. I'll guarantee that there aren't 70+ players that would rate better then FredBeard. Players still mostly go by fantasy stats from what it looks like, I expect QB, RB, WR and EDGE to dominate the top 10-25 because they're the guys that get the big numbers.

I know some guys who have never gotten over the seattle playoff game.
Eh, well, there are still people who think Grammatica should have "blocked" better.

That just comes down to believing a slick ball theory or just acknowledging Romo blew it and deal with it.

Me, well, I just find it all tragic. I can't assign blame other than I think Coach Parcells was way too conservative in reeling Romo in.

I personally know someone who can't stand him because of that game...and I personally know her husband was a good reason why they lost against the Commanders 14-13. It's all relative. Cool people, but I keep my opinions to myself when I'm around them. lol

We're lucky to have had both of them

What a great transition!
And just when the team has gotten younger, with a bulldozing line and superstar running ack.
Even the defense could be coming around
