Dak saved the season

Allen is put in a situation where he will make more mistakes as he basically carries the team. He has largely been the run game behind at best an average/bad offensive line. If the Bills had a standard QB then they probably wouldn't have even made the play offs in recent years.
Quick question.

What was the ranking for Bill's Defense during Josh Allen carrying the team in the playoff runs?

Ps. No emojis

No that is why it was insane to make him #1.
I don’t disagree with that. But it’s important to place it in the correct context. Was it insane to pay Lawrence and Love top contracts at the time? The list goes on over the years.

These Market Price contracts aren’t a pecking order. It’s unfortunate but is how business is done in the NFL when it comes to Franchise QB’s.

Apparently what’s more insane to these owners is having to begin a search for another Franchise QB. Once they have one which makes them a relevant playoff contender they seem content . It presents some stability even if it’s not enough for more success.

Mr. October 18-8

I’m not buying what he’s selling .

“ other then CD no firepower they shouldn’t have won “

Really ? Tolbert was a 3rd round pick . Not many tight ends I would take over Ferguson , They’ve invested lately in the OL again .

And to me the Cowboys instead of thinking All Pro at every position need to attack with the depth they have . Tight ends 3 deep , Jalen Brooks been on the roster several yrs Dowdle several yrs Leupke a FB in a league that thinks that position is the past .

If I’m MM and Schott I think numbers , spread the offense around be creative use the depth . If you eliminate the turnovers this team should have hung 30 on Pittsburgh.

Dak played the Steelers all by himself?

Everybody knows this:

- When we lose, it’s 100% Dak’s fault

- When we win, it’s despite Dak and is a team win

Meanwhile, we were 2.5 point underdogs and played with a seriously depleted team on both sides of the ball. Dak had the fumble and the who-knows-who’s-fault int, both in the red zone. Toss in a missed FG and we missed out on at least 9 points. When it came time to make a clutch play, Dak made the $60MM throw.

He had another pick too, Stan. All 3 turnovers took points off the board, Stan.

Yea , the detractors lose all credibility if aren’t able to provide some accolades when appropriate.

Yes they did. He tooketh away and in the end on last drive and play he giveth.

If we’re going to bash and critic when he flounders we must provide some accolades when he succeeds. Or we lose all credibility.

He tried to give the game away. The defense came to his rescue time and time again. However, you can't make stops all the time. If Allen would have stayed in at QB, the game could have been far different. However if Dak did not screw up for those 3 times, that could have made a big difference in our favor.

Dak did come through at the end. And I will take it. But to save the season, not so sure. A long way to go. But this win sure does help. However, I am not going into the Detroit game thinking things are fixed. Far from it.
All jokes aside I love this post soooooooooooooooooo much. Some people think that we have one good win and we're back on the map, uhh pump the brakes!!! Check the brake fluid and don't forget to bleed them!!! We're too inconsistent. Our run D will look great, play a team that can run, and we're like where's that run D that we just saw?? Not buying into until theirs some consistency

Funny how its "he" and not they when it's a win, Stan.

The defense bailed his sorry butt out time and time again. And even on the winning drive it was THEM making plays

So I take it you didn't see the "Dak saved the season" thread.

Im confused, does the Steeler game count more than Saints game?

Long season
week to week

On the winning drive our defense on the sidelines were making the plays?

Falling to 2–3 with potential losses coming up might have spiraled the season down.

Could this team have rebounded from say 2-4 or 2-5? Im not so sure .

It wasn't. What would have been beautiful is the game being over in the 3rd quarter like it should have been.
There’s no evidence the Steelers would have folded. They did come back in 4th qtr to take the lead.

Yes, without the turnovers we might not have needed the comeback but that’s speculative as well assuming we’d of converted those drives.

I’d argue there is some merit to overcoming mistakes made to win in a clutch manner.
