I'll say it again.......intangibles are overlooked and unappreciated. These stats IMO is why he's one of the ugliest winning QB in the league. Nothing pretty or sexy but he wins. Please don't he needs help......there's not a QB in the leagues that can win games w/o the help of his team. The bottom line for me, as long he keeps winning game, I don't care how ugly he is.
I remember Trent Dilfer had an interesting take on the year he won the Super Bowl with the Ravens. As he put it, he was smart enough to understand he was surrounded by a ton of talent. So his goal was to use the talent and have more good plays than bad. Other words, don't lose games........
This is exactly how I think Dak is approaching games. Protect the ball and make a few critical plays a game.
We don't have that Ravens defense. We can't afford a Trent Dilfer. I don't think Dak is nearly as bad as Dilfer was, but I think we probably need top ten or so performance to have a realistic chance to win it all. If we had a top 7 or so QB I'd consider it a huge upset if we didn't win with this team. I guess we'll see how Dak plays in the playoffs. Everyone says he's clutch, we'll need that - and not just at the end of games. We'll need him to play clutch from the get go because there won't be any Tampa Bays.
