Dak talks about his frustrations after the Bucs lost

This dude aint no leader give me a break

He’s shown his whole career he’s not a leader. It’s a fallacy.

1.) telling on a guy for saying embarrassing.
2.) saying fans should throw items at refs after the packers playoff loss and also blaming the refs
3.) not stopping his brother from bad mouthing players on the team with him on twitter
4.) getting mad at Jerry for saying what a story it would have been for Romo to come back at the end of 2016

The dude isn’t a leader. For anyone that believes it, there is a video right here to prove it.

While we are here .......look at his contract and tell me if you see the same thing I'm seeing. His $76M cap hit for 2027 will require attention.

***** 2027 salary of $45m is guaranteed
***** Only $17M of the 2028 season is guaranteed by 5th league day 2027
*****$76M cap hit for 2027
*****$131M dead cap hit in 2027.
** Pre-6-1 trade would cost $10M
** Post 6-1 trade would save $45M

You're right. That's disturbing. The NFL is way different from the NCAA in that the difference between the best teams and the worst ones is small. A bad team in the NFL is still going to have quite a bit of talent. You should always prepare for an NFL-caliber team. Bad teams can also be very uneven, playing well one week and poorly next week. A team should always assume their opponent will be at their best!

A great player like Jerry Rice got where he was because of an insanely good work ethic. Yes, he had a lot of talent, but none of that would have helped him without a work ethic. If Rice had shown up to a game hung over and ruminating about an argument he had with his girlfriend, he would have gotten shut down by average corners. But that didn't happen to him because he was a professional who worked his butt off and got really focused on the game.

You should prepare for an 0 and 4 team just as hard as you prepare for the defending champions.

Dallas should have cut bait with #4 around the same time Philthy cut bait with Wentz. But Jerry is happy with simply hanging around the rim. He's too comfortable with #4. I'm sure he realizes that #4 will never bring a championship to Dallas, but #4 occasionally makes things interesting and Jerry is fine with that.

Some teams have standards, Jerry doesn't.
I just thought about the whole dak and Wentz situation. Damn that guy has been here too long

This^^^^^ good post, Conehead

Because these are the ones that, when we look back at the end of the year and we’re looking at seeding, hell, if we had gotten the game that we were supposed to win, we would be a higher seeding or we’d be better.
Hate to tell you this, the only one who is going to be doing any kind of seeding at the end of the seasons will be Ol' Jerrah.

It highlights the difference in mindset between the Dallas and Philthy front offices. The Iggs recognized early on, before his rookie contract expired, that Wentz wasn't going to take them to a super bowl. The Iggs want super bowls so they cut bait and sent him packing. Jerry, on the other hand, prefers comfort and continuity.

Think of it like this - if Dak had been drafted by the Iggs he would have been cut early on, and by his 11th season he would be on his 3rd or 4th team by now, maybe even his 5th or 6th like Wentz. Wentz would still be on the Dallas roster to this day if he had been drafted by Jerry.

Jerry simply has different priorities than the Iggs and the rest of the NFL.

I still remember Hurts being drafted while Wentz was still here. Eagle fans were passed because they thought it was a wasted pick. The FO seen the writing on the wall before the fans did. It's the opposite with our team, we the fans have been seen the writing on the wall, but as you mentioned, the hasnt.

Jerry also can’t admit when he’s wrong. Doing that would be admitting he made a mistake. He’s spent 11 years trying to prove Dak is the answer instead of looking at the whole team

Here is my problem with him and the team.......as a player, an opponent's record should NEVER dictate your preparation. This statement tells me they saw a 0-4 team and thought they could 'walk in and win'. Here's your team leader saying this and I find it hard to believe Schotty didn't see/notice it during practice. Offense, defense, and special teams ( 3rd straight week) all played poorly. SMH.....where is Parcell when ya need him.

“… It’s these kinds of games that you feel like you should just walk in and win. And I guess that some of us may feel that way, that we’ve got to find a way to make them mean just as much as the big games — you get what I'm saying — the teams that have a lot of wins. Because these are the ones that, when we look back at the end of the year and we’re looking at seeding, hell, if we had gotten the game that we were supposed to win, we would be a higher seeding or we’d be better.

All I hear is blah blah blah.
