QBs very rarely threw over 300 yards in the 90s and those pass happy offenses that are similar to the offenses we see today like the K-Gun and Run and Shoot got destroyed by NFL defense that were allowed to actually spear over the middle and put hands on WRs. The AFC air it out offenses were literally whalloped like a little child.

It’s never been easier to pad stats as a QB.
