Which is why there is no confidence from this fan. Zero belief that he can put together a string of high level play against good competition to get you thru the playoffs.

I don't think he can beat Philly or SF. I know he hates to drive the bus, but its our best chance. This team can go far in the playoffs running the ball and playing high level defense. Prescott is not passing us to a super bowl.

Normally I'd agree but if we face them, I don't think bus driving will be an option against SF. That run defense is one of the best I've seen. They have given up 55 yards a game over the past 3 games, and an average of 75 on the year. Dak is going to have to beat them through the air unless our running game plays out of their minds.

You are going to face teams in the playoffs that will not let you beat them one dimensionally (unless you get unbelievably lucky with your matchups). It's just the way the game is played at that level. The QB has got to be able to make enough plays to give you a chance to pull out the victory.

At least he's finally taking some accountability for his mistakes. That's what I feared the most from him after playing under Jason Garrett- the refusal to admit to his faults and always blaming someone else.
I can handle him admitting his mistakes and working to do better. Whether or not he can be better remains to be seen, but for now at least he's turned a corner by admitting to them.

I said weeks ago that I don't want to hear from Dak because this is what you get a repeat or cliche answer. Don't even care I'm used to expecting him to throw a pick or two a game..the team just has to overcome his turnovers.

A casual observer with no interest in the NFL would ask..."hasn't he been playing that position for 6-7 years...I would think it would be cleaned up by now."

Those of us who have watched the NFL for decades understands it takes elite quarterbacks 8-9 years to "clean things up" before walking into the HoF. Just ask Mr Elway. smh

Go Cowboys!
Elway and Dak aren’t in the same universe!

His arm got hit on the second pick because Ball whiffed on his block. I'm not laying that on the QB.

The first one, however, was what we've seen on a weekly basis lately - trying to force something that wasn't there. Good teams beat you when you do that.

He's too far into his career to be having these conversations. This is who/what he is, and it doesn't appear good enough to win a championship.

Yeah, I have a hard time blaming him for the picks yesterday too.

That said, he’s been erratic with his accuracy. Unfortunately, when they don’t result in an interception people tend to forget.

Exactly, I just feel that SF is built to make you one dimensional better than the other teams that will be there. Unfortunately for us, they're built to stop our strength.

I'm not saying he can't throw the ball, but if he's putting it up 35+ times, we aren't winning. He's just not good enough to conduct an air attack against good defenses. Sure, let him loose against the Bears and Lions, but against Philly and SF, he just needs to move the chains and make a mistake to lose the game.

I definitely don't love it, and hope the game script doesn't go that way, I'm just saying it's highly likely going to be the case that he needs to beat them with his arm because I don't feel that we are going to move the ball efficiently/effectively enough to stop them. On the other side, I don't know if our defense will be able to slow down CMC and company.

Throw all the picks you want as long as you win. Come come round here after a loss with 2 picks.
