Well, I did say to argue the point is peeing in the wind.
Romo > Dak. that is my opinion. But I'm getting all upset if someone diagrees.

I won't go into degrading Dak but on Romo's behalf.....
3 of the 4 playoff losses in his era were beyond fluky.
  • 2006..I mean, who puts their starting QB out there on special teams? Plus then there's the ball itself, which is another story. Zero to do with him as a QB though. In fact Romo the QB drove them down for that go-ahead FG.
  • 2007..the game-winning TD pass with under 20 seconds left...again, he did his job at church time there as QB. can't throw it any better after leading them down the field for what should have been the win.
  • 2014..and then the Dez thing. Maybe we win, maybe not, but it was weird and the only incomplete pass the whole half.

Call it excuses. I don't care. They are facts
As a QB, in crunch time in those games, he did what he needed to do.
Romo = Dak in my book

Regarding your last sentence, he almost never lost them on his own either

1994 NFCCG at candlestick is the only one I can think of that comes to mind as being a genuinely bad game from aikman in that run. And he still almost rallied them. They believed in Troy

Can't say they feel that way about the current QB. And it shows
1996

As i posted earlier and everyone ignored.

We aren’t not watching the same games.

Romo may throw INTs but he’s proven he can carry a team. He can read defense, throw an out, throw a WR open.

Romo plays yesterday we win by double digits with our D. No question. Mattress Mac take home $2 million!

I’ve seen plenty of Dak vs Romo comparisons. But swap Dak and Aikman. Does Dak lose on the 90s teams? Does Aikman win on this team? I don’t really have an opinion, tell me what you think.
Seriously!!!!!!!!!!!!! Aikman was a legit QB with knowledge on how to play the position, whereas Prescot is AVERAGE AT BEST and is so fundamentally flawed that he's never going to win a championship game let alone a SB! Never going to happen...........................

Did you ever see that dime that Troy threw to Alvin Harper vs 49ers in 92 playoffs? Do you think the current QB makes that throw? I have an opinion but you probably already know what it is. Gonna be a long, brutal, off season.

Sorry this gets dumber by the minute… anyone that thinks Dak compares to Aikman in any way … put the madden games down and go watch Aikman playing in the 90’s … this stuff is just getting ridiculous … comments like this are why people laugh at Cowboy fans.

Dak versus Aikman

We saw Dak miss wide open receivers deep yesterday during the divisional playoff game.

Aikman in a divisional playoff game

Purdy kept throwing slants against the Cowboys

Aikman unlike Dak made big throws during big moments of the playoffs

He hit Harper in stride (not behind, not low, and not high)

Michael and Charles H. wouldn’t stand for a QB who could not complete the simple pass. Please why you think ES got signed during that holdout, those 2 battered the walls in the locker room and scared old Jed so bad he got that deal done quick. Lol

Dak would win a great number of games with that squad, but he would likely never make the Super Bowl with any of the squads. Even with better coaching.

Troy was asked recently about pressure and did he feel pressured to perform in the playoffs. He said “yes and the further you go in the playoffs the more the pressure builds.” Watch the 1992 NFCCG (where the 49ers were favored and vastly superior to the team Dallas just played). Emmitt did rush for over 100 yards, but the Cowboys only ran for a total of 121 yards on offense and Aikman passed for 322 yards. And San Francisco had a better points per game defense than even the Cowboys that season.

Watch the game ten to fifteen times. The Cowboys were fantastic that season and so were the 49ers. That game balanced on the edge for much of the game, but Dallas triumphed in large part due to Troy and the timing based passing attack that the 49ers could not stop even when their defense guessed correctly. The wide receiver separation that you referenced before was like 6 inches at times which was all Aikman needed. He’s a playoff God. Dak’s just a guy that is better than many others during the regular season. No true Cowboy’s fan should bother much with the comparison.

The post to Harper against GB in the double star jerseys....

Good grief, what a perfect laser in stride. That's poetry in motion. Beautiful to watch

Compact throwing motion and fast release. Just fantastic to watch

They are the same guy because they produce the same results.

Aikman's accuracy alone makes him the better player. He also wasn't afraid to chew a player out which he could do due to how good he was playing. Dak? Dak will be Dak - good, bad, and the ugly.
