How is it fair to compare career numbers when one guys has played 16 more games than the other guy is all i'm saying?

Watson has more rushing yards then Dak. Dak of course has 7 more rushing TDs, but again, a whole season of played games more than Watson.

Watson is just better. It's just not close. 16 games have to be added to Daks numbers to make him look better.

Ill take Dak's leadership on the field. Watson requested a trade and was threatening to hold out before he started getting sued. Is that the kind of QB you want leading your team? When the going gets tough, he wants out?

But then again, you said you like Cousins over Dak also correct? Leadership doesnt seem to mean much to you when it comes to your QB. For me its the #1 quality.

Deshaun's Quarter to Quarter yardage splits, Career:

1st 21.8% of career passing yards
2nd 26.46%
3rd 23.004%
4th 28.72%


Dak's Quarter to Quart yardage splits, Career:

1st 22.97%
2nd 27.15%
3rd 20.84%
4th 29.04%


Deshaun Watson 2020:

1st 18.85%
2nd 31.93%
3rd 19.88%
4th 29.34%


Dak Prescott, 2019-2020 (20 total games, removed partial game vs NYG where he was injured):

1st 18.05%
2nd 27.43%
3rd 24.67%
4th 30.03%



Overall both their career averages are pretty similar, as are the fact that defenses were failing them at commensurate rates in more recent times. About as close to apples-to-apples as any 2 QBs could get in that regard.

Particular oddity is Deshaun REALLY liked the second quarter in 2020.

I would counter that if you're playing better football on the field, that has some inkling to the player's football intelligence. For Rodgers and Brady, the quantifiable or unquantifiable stat of football intelligence is great, but I'd take them because they're just flat out better quarterbacks. Which, in my opinion, Deshaun has the edge on Dak.

17,634 ÷ 69 = 255 yards/game.
14, 539 ÷ 54 = 269 yards/ game.
Now this information has minimal value in determining which QB is better but I was just pointing out the flaw in your point about number of games played and whether the stats represent equal footing.

Okay, then why not just do per game averages instead of career numbers? It is my belief that career numbers was chosen because that's one of the few things that Dak has over Watson, because again, he has played a full seasons worth more of games then Watson. I'd hope that his career numbers would be better.

Per game averages, as you did, would provide a much more logical comparison. I don't think that per game averages would tell the story that many on here want to be told though, so I can only assume that's why it's being ignored in favor of career numbers.

I am not surprised to see it that way specially in past two years and how the teams did. I bet it would be different for Brady, mahomes as their teams probably had leads going into 4th and they didn't need to throw as much..

I wonder if there is point differential going into half and 4th quarter stats....if it's a lot then probably you going in pass pass pass..if it's close then you are playing a more balanced offense.

This is hilarious.

Dak has equal % (49%) of percentage passing in both the 1st & 2nd Halves throughout his career.

While...

Deshaun has thrown for 48% of his passing percentage in the 1st Half while throwing for 51% in the 2nd Half average of his career.

Looks like Deshaun is the one with more "garbage yards" % passing in the 2nd Half between both QBs.

I'll easily take Dak since he clearly is more balanced of a passer throughout all 4 quarters.

Since it seems that's what you are trying to imply If you saw my other response instead of jumping the gun at the first chance just to try and say something anti Dak as you always do, I wanted to see point differential going into half and 4th quarter and final score....all relevant to how generally games play out.

But the stats were.similar and close and almost identical for both by quarter. I don't really see.much difference between the two.

Given where we are today, I take Dak. He is a better character guy. It's a huge concern for Watson.

That's the only reason anyone would take Dak over Watson.

Watson is too much of a risk with his behavior.

I don't attack Dak. I have him as the 11th best QB in the NFL right now.

He's good, but he's done nothing to earn the praise that you and others give him everyday, that's all.
 
I like Watson’s arm talent and elusiveness better, but otherwise I’d take Prescott.

If you could attach Watson’s arm to Prescott’s body…
