SF was one Eli Manning pop fly type throw and catch by KC in the Super Bowl from winning one himself....until that happened, they were toast. Is Jimmy G great? This really makes no sense. You may not know why the 49ers are ready to give up on him, but their perspective carries a lot more weight.
I would have no problem if the Cowboys could have signed Rogers, or made a deal for a disgruntled Russell Wilson, or had a pick near the top of the draft to spend, but Garoppolo hasn't been one iota better than Dak, it would cost draft picks to get him, and we would have to negotiate a new deal to keep him beyond 2022.

SF's perspective does carry weight....having said that, it's quite possible that if they had Dak, they would already gotten rid of him.
