Dak vs. Wentz

To be fair, Dak's play was pretty bad last year before we got Cooper. The fact that both Jeffrey and Jackson are injured should probably be factored into Wentz having 61.3 and 94.6 ratings the last two weeks after a 121 the first week, when Jackson and Jeffrey were healthy.

This is another one of those threads when too much of the blame is placed on the quarterback. Usually, we save that kind of thing for our own, though.

His play before Cooper was not “pretty bad”
It was mediocre, above average, with some mistakes.

Wentz' offensive line is atrocious. That's causing them huge problems.

But there's apparently locker room issues between him and his teammates. That could get ugly.

Excuses. Come on. Look at last season with Dak with a make shift OL half of the season. But yet the Dak detractors said that was not the reason.

As a Wentz homer myself... Dak is just outplaying him by a lot right now.

I still think Wentz is miles more talented then Dak but Dak is getting results and Wentz isn't.

Hopefully that continues and they take an L to Green Bay this week.

But everyone said that the Eagles had better weapons, a better Oline and an elite QB?

Can't take all of that back now...
Well, I wasn't one of them.

But do you think the Eagle current weapons are better than ours?
I don't. Especially with all the injuries.
It's not remotely close. Other than TE, we are better all over right now.

Wentz is clearly better.

He's also a much better person.

I can see the cracks in your Wentz posters and see Dak breaking through the walls / ceilings any week now. Soon your walls / ceilings will be overtaken by Dak.

I always stay out of this debate.

Dak is playing great. Thrilled with his growth and play.

To be fair, I suspect if you drop Wentz into this group--Zeke, Cooper, Gallup, Cobb, the O-line…..he would do very well too.
A first round pick should.

I'm just saying Wentz can play. He can. He's an injury waiting to happen, however, and he has teammate issues.

I heard this earlier today. What have you heard. Is it over the fact he got paid or not getting the ball out to the right players. Is he a jerk. What’s the deal...

He's apparently pretty arrogant and keeps to himself.

Dak goes to western stores with his punter, ego buys Dak his first pair of Cowboy boots.

I love that about Dak. He's everybody's teammate, not just the stars.

Wentz did have an ok game Sunday, with the usual WR drops.
Completion % was not great, bit had yards and 2 TD’s and no picks. But just can’t or has not been able to pull off the come back wins nearly as often.

Not sure what teammate issues he has.

He threw a perfect ball to win the game.

Dropped.

Seven ugly drops yesterday.

What about Nick Foles last year? Took the same team that was done to the playoffs and damn near got back to the NFC Championship game.

did something come out this year? not sure that is accurate

If Prescott comes anywhere near my basement he's a dead man.

At first I thought the ball was tipped, but on another replay, that I only seen today about 10 minutes ago, yes seen it was dropped. However, with the defender in front of him, how much of a distraction was it. We see it happen often.

Still should have been caught, maybe, but the defender was there in position as well. So maybe just enough to block his vision of the ball to mistime it. Just an opinion that different people may have. Bit looked closer to a drop.

Wentz is a good QB. His only issue, is whether or not, he remains healthy.
He can't win games in the 4th quarter. This is a REAL skill, which he lacks significantly. I dont care how well you can throw a pigskin, if you can lead your team down the field to win games in the clutch, either because of execution or leadership or both, then you really aren't a good quarterback in my book.

I hate your definition of talent, which I am assuming means throwing ability. Throwing ability is one type of talent, but there are many types of talents. Leadership, performance under pressure (late game situations), durability, legs, these are all talents too.

Its like you can have a high IQ and be a social idiot. There are many types of talents.
