How is 19/32 and 179 yards with 1 TD against a meddling Browns team playing well?
A meddling Browns team? Do you know how good their defense is?
Dak stared down CeeDee and forced it t him a little too often IMO, but he played fine against the #1 defense in the NFL last year

Dark played well enough to help the team win . . . wow. How is he getting credit?

It was all the defense and special teams
He helped the team march down the field and score several times. I don't recall the defense scoring all those points. Was he particularly good or mistake-free? No. Of course not, but anyone that doesn't acknowledge that he didn't contribute has an agenda. He didn't throw picks, unlike the playoffs. Keep in mind, I'm saying this as someone that wants to move on from him because the playoffs are too big for him. However, he does well in the regular season.

The second half the defense wasn't even trying. Wow. You people are relentless with the bs

The offense was being super conservative.

Even without that. The Browns defense was the #1 defense in the NFL last year. It was on the road. The cowboys offense scored a lot of points all things considered. So yeah Dak was fine.

The offense scored 26 points.

26 points on the road against one of the best defenses in the NFL.

Any argument that the offense didn’t help win the game is idiotic.

He was under 60% in completions. Not good. Certainly not $240M
But, he’s our‘s now .. pretty much forever .
Wow, once again, money related to the first game of the season….THEY WON ….what are you whining about….
Whine some more if it makes you feel better…right now I am enjoying the win.

It wasn't being conservative. Dak was throwing incompletions. And yes the Browns defense is good which caused Dak to struggle. But because they had no Offensive Tackles missing RB and new coaches they got whooped by the Cowboys defense. Because the game was a blowout thre was no pressure on Dak so he did not panic

Dak was decent against one of the best defenses. He didn't light it up, but it didn't force anything and make mistakes. Looked better than most QBs this weekend.
There was no pressure to force anything. He was coasting and still struggled

What does being conservative have to do with throwing the ball at the feet of a wide open Lamb, multiple times?

He was solid in the first half, but pretty awful (5/11 for 23 yards) in the 2nd half.

Overall, he was no better than average...against a really good defense. I'm not sure why so many are sensitive about acknowledging that fact (not you specifically).

He did nothing at all to turn the game and lose it. Made great throws early on. We won the game. The whole 2nd half was on cruise control as Browns showed early on they had no ability to win that game unless we had a bunch of turnovers.

But on the other hand, if he had 4TDS, 400 yards and we lost 52-48, you would blame him.

I said Dak was fine. Which is basically average. I think the game script explains a lack of raw numbers overall.

I would have liked to see the offense sustain drives in the second half better. Just to kill more time with a big lead.

But I think overall we are in agreement about Dak being fine/average.
