None of this stuff matters if he doesn't lay an egg in SF.

Who cares if he throws 30 INTs as long as he wins and gets the team back to a super bowl. I personally don't think he has the talent or temperament to accomplish that but that's the standard. These nitpicking conversations scrutinizing his every word are simply the direct result of his previous failures.

Todd Archer should be commended for reporting the correction. An accurate quote is always best.

Unfortunately, a less cloudy crystal ball is still just a crystal ball. Team objectives are what the players strive for game-by-game. They should not be made fodder for talking sports heads and social media.

Plus, the correction does not lessen the spotlight on Prescott in this instance. Scrutiny will intensify. It shifts from 'Prescott said he would not throw ten interceptions this year and there's number ____' to 'wonder if Prescott will blame number ____ interception on himself or the receiver running the wrong route?'

That is also unfortunate since a percentage of interceptions are not the quarterback or receiver's fault. It is sometimes just the result of a defensive player making a great play.

Time to step away from the microphones and just the let the play on the field do the talking for you. The offseason is brutally predictable.
At this point he is just digging a deeper hole.

Some text him and let him know it would be better to zip it.
Players are contractually obligated to give interviews, the Marshawn Lynch approach isnt allowed either. They also give interviews to promote their cause, in this instance Dak's camp. Its not like yall didnt know this, yall just want to scrutinize every little thing.

Also players have been on the field doing their jobs, yet I dont see any of you mention that...

If they concentrate on not getting ints, very possible he'll get less than 10. After all, he had only 4 in 2016 and 8 in 2018, both times when he had a top running game. He didn't have but 459 and 526 attempts in those years, respectively, but even in 2021, with 596 attempts, he just had 10.

We remember Zeke having 6 fumbles on 244 rushes in 2020, and it was "he's a fumbler", but he buckled down on ball security and had only 1 the next 468 carries (over 2 years).

So it's a question of really of how much are the coaches going to stress less ints in the passing game and running Pollard all over the place vs. throwing the ball a lot.

Now will that hurt Dak's production? Maybe, but that remains to be seen...

I heard this on the 105.3 podcast, glad he did an article.
A lot of people are connecting dots that aren't there. Starving for any sort of story in the offseason. Sacrificing top shelf journalism to publish more clicks opportunities. People's intellect has suffered because of it.

Anyone with 3/4's of a brain understands all of the places to point with regard to INTs. But some can't get out of their own way.
