I don’t know what routes they were supposed to run. I don’t have a playbook. Do you?
Why is this guy allowed to troll day after day after day???

All he does is run into a Dak thread and start ridiculing Dak nonstop while riling up the masses so the thread can be shut down. That's his game.

This the kinda players you like, Ranch?

The blame everyone else types?
I didn't take it like that. I can see where his haters would. They are the same fans that hate on him when he shoulders the blame. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

What he said was more of an indictment on Moore's system, not the receivers themselves.
But that would imply that all the years in Moore's system they couldn't figure out where to be, when & why.

I mean, I don't get this statement at all. You have his buddy KM who he supposedly was upset to lose. You have his receivers which he still has to play with. This statement indicts one or both while lifting blame from himself.

So he basically threw his wide receivers under the bus for the previous years.
Well he's only had one year that was really bad on INTs and easily a third of them were of the hit the receiver in the hands/face/chest variety.. so yeah.. kinda makes sense. It also makes sense to assume that since it had never happened before it isn't likely to happen again.

well, as expected people will read into it, what they want. perhaps this was about tipped by the defender...as in routes that would put the defenders in the passing lane......tip the pass
Honestly, I don't see how it can be misinterpreted.

"They know where the hell to be, why to be and when they’re getting looked at."

Obviously, "they" is referring to the receivers. The statement implies that the receivers don't know the why, when, and where they're supposed to be. This puts the blame either on the teacher (the coach) or the students (the players). Tipped passes occur for primarily two reasons that put the blame on the QB if the receiver is open: inaccurate or slowly delivered passes. Tipped passes will (obviously) happen with a higher probability if the receiver is covered, and the QB shouldn't be throwing the ball to such players unless its a desperation play because that would be considered forcing it. If receivers aren't getting open, then it could the fault of the players or the coaches, or even a really good defense.

Regardless, it's the projection of blame onto others by Dak (whether coaches or players) that most people will see from statements like this.

No explanation needed when its in Dak's original quote:

"They know where the hell to be, why to be and when they’re getting looked at."

If a playbook is too convoluted for a player to get the timing right every single time, something needs to change. Mis-timed routes leads to tips and INT's.
There have been tons of articles written about the route concepts. I'm not sure why there are so many that ignore it.

Perhaps not throwing into triple coverage will cut down on those “tips”…….
I can name two INTs, the one Ferguson had hit him in the chest and bounce in the air and the one Brown had hit him in the hands against Jacksonville that were perfect throws, hit the receiver right where the ball needed to be that turned into INTs ... Most of Dak's INTs had nothing to do with triple coverage. Several of them were of the receiver not crossing the safety's face variety which speaks to somebody being on the wrong page. The ones right before half against Detroit and Chicago on almost the same play for instance. I can't definitively say who missed that read but none of those were into triple coverage either. Well maybe the one to CD in Green Bay but that was only because Schultz ran the wrong route and brought his man over. Then there was the one to Sweat against Philly which was just a simple miscalculation of the guy's hops. And of course the INTs on back to back plays where the DB dropped the first one and some idiot called the same play to make sure to let him catch it the second time. Oh and the one to Gilmore when Gallup fell on his cut? I could go on and on but you won't acknowledge it anyway. Yes Dak threw some INTs that were into coverage. However very few of them were into triple coverage. MAYBE 2 or 3.. but that's about it.

A little bit, but I took it more of a dig on Moore. Its like Moores offense was too confusing or open to too many options they werent on the same page. THIS offense is more well defined and MM is going a better job of making sure everyone knows where and why to be.

So what was the misquote? That he won't have more than 10 interceptions this year?
If so, I can see how that happens. "We won't have those tipped/10 interceptions this year."
Plausible.

Yeah that 2nd most productive offense behind the Chiefs sucked.
It didnt suck by any stretch, but there was something missing. It didnt have that extra gear or variety against better defenses. Didnt have that creativity. Moore didnt have that 6th sense IT factor.

Now some of that was definitely the Oline and the Zeke featured run game.

Cooper Rush didn’t have these “tipped INT” issues.

Weird.
