He is a player who fails at the mental aspect of his game, and it seems like INT's are clearly on his mind. To me this is not good, but I don't know the mindset that would be ideal either

Normally? No. Usually, Prescott comments are not definable in nature. They are abstract. [Paraphrasing] "I will play much better than before." "The next outcome will be different than last time."

In this particular instance? Yes, he does. Making a public statement specifying he will not throw a certain number of interceptions intentionally draws attention to himself and whether his statement shall hold true. Making public promises is a long-established Jerry Jones trait.
I guess the good news in giving an exact number are the odds are against him hitting it. If he had said he will throw less than 10 interceptions (although that is what he meant), he wouldn't have given himself an out. Now, if he throws 11 or 12, he can say, see, I told you I wouldn't have 10.

Like I said, it was a ridiculous statement to make, since he has thrown 10 or more interceptions more times than not, and most top QBs throw 10 or more (again, six of the top 10 last year). It's the TD-to-int. ratio that really matters.

All the other QBs have the same thing happen to them too though, which the Daksters seem to always ignore.

So, when you compare apples to apples, and not try to subtract any INTs that his receivers may have caused, because we aren't doing that to the other starting QBs numbers either, Dak led the league in INT per game by a wide margin.

If you want to subtract the INTs dak wasn't responsible for, and then also do that for all the other starting QBs in the league, Dak still leads the league in INTs per game by an equally large margin.

He's the worst no matter how you slice it.

In fact, I'd go so far as to say EVEN if you assumed NONE of the other starting QBs had ANY of their INTs caused by a receiver, and said 100% of their INTs were all on them, yet you still subtracted Dak's INTs that his receivers caused, I bet he'd STILL lead the league in INT per game despite comparing apples to oranges..... that's how horrible he was in the INT and backbreaking Pick6 department.

With all that said, do you know what his int to td ratio was his whole career before last season??? Or do we ignore the 5 years of low ints and just let one bad season speak for his whole career.....

I don't know what other fans do, but my eyes and many replays SHOW that all ints aren't all on the quarterbacks. That includes all quarterbacks.

Now in Dak's case, the film don't lie. All the interceptions were not his fault. I know that angers and triggers alot of the low IQ Dak hating crowd, but film don't lie.

Dak was responsible for alot of picks, but he wasn't responsible for them all. Again, no matter what people say, film don't lie.

It's not just on the receivers running great routes and making the catch, but the offensive line has to block effectively enough so Dak doesn't rush or misguide his passes. Opposing teams have a role in it as well. He publicly is setting a goal of less than10 turnovers this upcoming season, but he doesn't have absolute control over achieving it.
It would have been wise to not to openly declare it and he is putting unnecessary additional pressure on himself. As long as his touchdown to turnover ratio is very positive I don't care if he has 9 or 15 turnovers for example, and that we still win a lot more games than we lose.
