Dak wasn't that good last night **merged**

The writer failed to see that in Dak’s rookie season Dez missed several games with injuries and I believe that was when Dak looked his best. I still think besides injury to Fred our biggest problem is Scott and his play calling. I just hope Scott hasn’t ruined Dak and a new OC can come in and fix the problem.

This is pretty clueless. So far Dak has been much more interception prone in "win or go home situations" than Romo ever was.
Don’t be stupid. Dak has only had one win or go home situation and it was against Green Bay. His interception didn’t lose the game. Unfortunately our defense did.

The game against Seattle last year when it happened was a win or go home game as well. Even if you only count playoff games, Dak's 1 interception was 1 short of reaching Romo's career total in the playoffs in 1/6th of the games. The only thing stupid here is to try to act like Romo threw a lot of interceptions in "win or go home situations" while also acting like Dak is better when he has been far worse so far.

Excellent point. His team was so good they continued to win EVERY GAME with a backup quarterback. But the Dak Haters will say his team was just as bad as ours. That’s some laughable bs.

That's what is amazing to me. Some of these guys are so in love with Wentz they don't apply their own criteria to him. Dak was 'in the perfect situation' in 2016, but Wentz wasn't when he had a better coach, a top RB in ajayi, awesome receiving core and top 5 defense. The team was so great that they won a superbowl with a backup qb... but that was all Wentz.

You are lame. Romo ended quite a few games with interceptions. You memory is quite selective

I thought we were talking about win or go home situations. With the notable exception of Washington in 2012, Romo didn't generally throw many picks in those games, maybe 1 a game if there was a ton of pressure.

you said aikman was a bus driver, not an elite QB....everybody else in the NFL said otherwise......
Please read what I said, I never said I believed that Troy was a "bus driver". I said it was arguable. Big difference. There are people who said that Troy was Emmiitt's caddy (because the expression bus driver wasn't invented). I was never one of those people. I will say that Troy sometimes get more credit than he deserves for the team's success in that era. That does not mean that he iwasn't important to those teams or isn't worthy of the HOF. He was a terrific Cowboy and one of the best QBs of his era. He is one of my faves, but people shouldn't confuse his greatness of his play with his postseason success. He rarely had to carry the teams he played on and when he lost key components, he wasn't the same player. Other Cowboy QBs had to do as much with less than what Troy had..

It’s plain hatred and hypocrisy. What else could it be?

Are you serious? Romo has quite a few multiple interception games. How conveniently you forget all those late season divisional games that were lost due to errant mistakes made by Romo. Minnesota destroyed us and Romo played like garbage. But you all gave him a pass and blamed the Oline. If that was Dak there’d be no excuse. You’d blame it all on him. You guys are haters and hypocrites. Be adult enough to admit it.

I see four Chicago bears fans sitting at a table drinking beer, you want to hear them talking? Here goes, guy 1 sunglasses on " DAK sucks. :) guy2 two what backwards " DAK SUCKS" guy 3v eating pretzels, " DAK sucks " guy 4 looks around and says " yes, we all agree , Dak sucks, unanimous" seems like they all know , :)

Yep!!! It’s against forum rules to further elaborate on his (their) agenda. Dak may not be the ideal prototypical quarterback. But he’s got enough talent to win a championship with the right supporting cast. Romo, who some praise as a God had all the tools several times over and still never got it done. So the arm talent and fantasy football stats meant nothing.
Please define" right supporting cast". Would that be All-Pros at half the postions on the field? I love Dak, but you don't win Super Bowls running RPOs. Cam came the closest, but good secondary play took away the pass options and the Broncos front 7 took away Cam. Until Dak can develop into an NFL QB, we won't be sniffing any championships any time soon. For now, we're running some advanced version of the Mississippi State playbook. Dak has some comefort with this and he'll be somewhat effective, but I doubt we're making the playoffs (unless the whole NFC East implodes, which could happen I suppose).

How well would Mahomes be playing without Hunt, Hill, Kelce or Reid as his coach. Give him Linehan and take away Hill, Watkins and Kelce and it's doubtful he would have near the success he's currently enjoying.

Put Mahomes under Center in Dallas and watch how our WR start looking like total STUD players including our TE.....nothing against Dak of course just seems odd that the sentiment here is "oh well that's who Dak is and we just have to live with it"....may I ask why????
Why will America's team yes America's team stoop to lower standards for Dak? What has given him this right of passage?

The right supporting cast is a solid Oline. A premier back and an assortment of receivers and tight ends who fit his strengths. And you are wrong. Kap came closest to winning with the RPO. Not Cam. And Russell Wilson won it using his version of the RPO. It’s been proven that it can be done. Unfortunately most of the quarterbacks who are skilled in the RPO don’t fit y’all ideas of what a quarterback looks like.

I do have interest in fairly judging and be objective. my interest is for the good of the team and its future. and I go back to one of my previous responses. Dak seemingly needs Smith, a good OL, Zeke and good WRs and he can then be the bus driver. and if that's what he is, then fine. he is an average NFL QB. not elite or even close to that. he needs strong cast around him and he can minimize his mistakes. play safe and drive the bus. but he can't lift a team and put them on his back and lead them to victory and compensate for the team's short coming in any area.

If we do anything this season it will be because Dak truly carried this team. No Witten's Dez' s TO' s Glenn's. So let's see how the season plays out.

The bad thing about this is... Garrett and Jerry will think they have found the solution. Dak is a less than average QB. Aside from that one play.. he rarely throws deep.. that is concerning

Guess who else rarely threw deep? You'd be surprised .

Was it against Green Bay? Where he actually put up very good numbers and willed us back to almost winning the game? If thats the case you must have missed it.
