Are you willing to trust your season and/or playoff chances with a mid-low-round rookie??????? It's the approach you have to take coz we could need him for only a half-game or 10 games, you never know.
Fair point. i Just don’t i know that I trust the Darnolds and Winston’s of the world In a possible 10 game stretch as you mentioned either. I also know that guys like Purdy seldom pan out but I feel like a rookie QB that can utilize his legs can overcome complex defenses because of the ability to run.

conventional wisdom says that getting one of the 4 guys mentioned is the smartest way to go but since tha Qb position has changed so much, I’m willing to try out a hybrid…..even Daniel Jones ran for 700 yards, lol

I agree 100% with drafting a guy but we probably also want an experienced vet, even on the low end.

Mayfield has the most talent but from just hearing stuff about him he's a locker room cancer

I would honestly look at Tyler heinicke if released. Kids not afraid to gun sling it around and didn't do half bad playing for **** show Washington. His play style is definitely a little nerve wrenching though and would come fairly cheap

May surprise a few but for me Jameis Winston is interesting. Sean Payton loves him. He was actually good before his injury last season.
  • Baker Mayfield
  • Jameis Winston
  • Sam Darnold
  • Teddy Bridgewater
I actually would go with Darnold.

Tough for me to answer because in my dream scenario this means we'd be carrying 3 QBs on the roster and I don't see us doing that

Are those the only options? I hope the Eagles cut Minshew. I’d like to see Gardner in Dallas, he reminds me of Romo a little and he fits the gun slinging QB mold with some mustache attitude. I think he would fit in well if he had to come in for a Dak injury and play.

He is a qb that is good at navigating the pocket
Just think our backup this year could possibly play a critical role. I know I'm going out on a limb a bit but it appears MM is taking this season personal as in it's going to be done his way or no way. My point is ( few of us have said ) the level of backup and/or QB they draft will tell us lot about whether or not they have lost some confidence in Dak. In other words, new offense, new OC, new QB coach, a head coach trying to save his _______ means Dak needs to hit the ground running, no more markers, they are gone.

Still believe they are all in on Dak, we will find out soon for sure. Will he receive an extension, will they draft a high QB? Think it’s make or break for MM this season, is he tied to Dak? Believe Quinn was told he is next in line if MM fails to make next step

My personal opinion is don’t have a back up QB. If the starter gets knocked out, you lose some games and draft a new QB early.

Dallas won’t be able to run the ball with Zeke and Pollard w a broken leg. So If Dak goes down, I’d probably try to sit Parsons as well and try for next year.

With that said I don’t like tanking but the offense will have nothing. Id draft in the trenches, maybe even trade Ceedee if Dak goes down. Then next year you have a solid line and probably 2 1sts.
