Dak's Ceiling

you mean lead the team back like a 14point lead late..right ..its dak issue not the defense, penalties, and coaching decisions. Refs maybe, just Dak i guess , all the dak hate posts say its true it must be,..lmao
You can lyao all you want, but Dak failed on the last two drives when it counted. Sure, the D couldn't stop the run and all the other stuff you mention, but on the final two drives, when the game was in his hands, Dak failed. And how can you blame KM for bad play calling when Dak changes the plays at the line? Maybe he's the one changing running plays to passing plays

as Michael Jordan once said. The ceiling is the roof.

Has Dak reached the pinnacle of his growth or is he still developing and maturing? I personally think what we see is what we get. Curious what others think.
He peaked 3 years ago....he doesn't run anymore. That was his X factor. He's lost that. Now he's injury prone...afraid to run.

Yes. Dak is a play action QB and there is nothing wrong with that when the running game is as robust as ours. The problem is a pass happy OC who jokingly admitted a few weeks ago that in a perfect world, he would call passing plays 100% of the time. Moore struggles making decisions during the game beyond the initial scripted plays.

What I don’t understand is why Dak is not a very good athlete.

I mean 38 year old Aaron Rodgers can run better than Dak.

If Dak could run he’d make this offense way better and I just don’t get how the guy I watched in college is such a mediocre athlete at his age.
Maybe a bulks up too much in the off season

Dak needs more than a sugar daddy girlfriend.
The following is in no specific order.

Offline has to give him mucho time to finally decide where to throw.
The Wr has to be open usually as he can't lead them to the ball.
Again with our WR as they have to catch dirt balls and high ones as all of Dak's passes are catchable here in the CZ.
Our running game has to produce over 100+ yards min.
The defense has to hold the opponents to under 20 points but even then nothing is guaranteed.
The same defense has to give him at least 2 T/Os deep in the opponent's territory.
The weather has to be perfect or indoors.
His teammates cannot put him under a pressure situation such as last week's overtime as he chokes under the pressure.
He needs a perfect game from his teammates and ya it ain't a perfect world.

In 2016 Dak was thrown into a situation built for a older QB with better arm talent.

A tweak in the game plan and a rookie RB sensation carried him a long way.

IMO he's a better than average NFL Bus driver that has big moments but overall
there is really no consistency.

Given the organization he is in, the consistency may not entirely his fault however
in the NFL the QB gets the glory in wins and the criticism in losses.

Jerry only remembers the glory.

He"ll be 30 years old this coming offseason. He"s no longer a young man in athletic terms. From a purely physical ability perspective, its downhill from now onwards. Dak is one of those players who relies on his athletic strength/physical ability a lot more than e.g. Tom Brady, who was never a physical specimen. The athletic QB usually has a shorter shelf life than the Brady type - Dak is most of the way through his NFL career.

no the defense failed in the 4th qtr and OT that fact up by 14 is good enough in 195 games before that 28 points all scored by the offense isnt enough, rush couldn't do that, his offenses had horrible 3 and out numbers , low scoring games kept that defense on the field a lot more than Dak is. so now its on dak again like romo to score 32-40 points or get blamed for losses. Right, go sell that nonsense to a sports idiot, im not that guy believing this nonsense,

Only sports idiots would believe that..

Rogers got his team in a position to win the game. That's all Dak had to do but failed.

didn't need to dak gave his team a 14 point lead..NEXT

Rogers got the chance because of the suck butt D BLOW a lead , a big lead, wake up!!

He's regressing.
He always used to have the read option in his repertoire to help this offense out.
Now he doesn't have that(for reasons unknown) we get to see him try to be a PASSING QB.

HOWEVER he can't succeed because

Poor footwork
Inability to read defenses
Poor accuracy

It's a catalogue of compounding issues and faults.
Excellent post.
You nail it in a nutshell.
