He looked heavy. he lost his movement. He couldn't run for first downs. He didn't play in pre-season. And he ends up with a season-ending hamstring injury on a non-contact play.

Was he ever in good condition this year?
Ur 100% spot on.

His PR team puts out photo-shopped images of him occasionally, but the truth is, he's FAT. He had enough money before this latest contract to just kind of let himself go, say *** it and pound Twinkies late at night, knowing he already has enough dough in the bank (and in his belly) to be juuuussttt fine, so he started coasting. Then when jerruh inexplicably gave him 500M more, he just laughed and REALLY started packing on the pounds.

He'll be ready for My 600 Pound Life by the time he retires and moves on from his cushy job with the Cowboys...in 2037.

No excuses. I just felt he wasn’t right in his movement. I’ve been training for over 40 years, you see things
I run sprints as a part of my normal workout routine. I'm 59 and haven't had any hamstring issues whatsoever, and if anyone should be prone to all sorts of injuries it's my old butt. So how is a 31 year old professional athlete who has access to the best training money can buy be so fragile?

As I said...fullback-style bodies don't age well, esp when they are playing QB. The dude is a natural 240 pounds. Thick in his torso no matter what he does. You think exercise is going to change bone structure?

Quarterbacks need to quickly set...and reset. Then set again. Do you think that's easy for a really big, wide-as-a truck guy? You think an athlete, who was never fleet of foot, has had lower leg injuries, and now has mother nature closing in on him...is going to be able to show mobility or run ability?

While I've often defended Dak I was *emphatically not* against extending him. Anatomical-NFL-history was a prime reason. The blame lies with Jerry, not Dak. Dak has always done all he can. Dak will always do all he can. At this point in his career....It just will fail.
He is a QB in an FB body correctly stated.
His mechanics and footwork are examples of how a QB should NOT throw the ball.
Add to that his mental issues dang what a LEMON Jerry bought us for another 4 years.
Pain Jerry........feel it.....live it.....and hear it when your fans are booing your mistake wearing #4.

they make it look easy, us on the other hand we have to spend time talking about it and having it be talked about in the media

The Game plan in Atlanta was obviously to get Dak on the move and quick decisive pass plays . The little moving around his did tears a hammy out for the year. Next year he’s a year older . Good luck Jerry .

I’m 52 and regularly do sprint training, as well. I’ve popped a hammy here and there.

Hamstrings injuries are incredibly common amongst professional athletes. My personal opinion is that professional athletes spend enormous amounts of time on their bodies. It’s what gets them paid. I think injuries happen for these guys mostly because of bad luck and genetics. Sure, an athlete can lose motivation and that can certainly affect training habits, but with professional athletes that’s not the reason I would goto right from the rip.

Zion Williamson has been pulling hammies for years. He just did it again the other day. Sure, he could lose weight, and I’ll admit he does look chunky at times, but he also has genetically gifted athleticism that generates enormous amounts of energy harbored inside a body that is thick and huge, even if he is as lean as he can be. It’s what made him such an anomaly for the game of basketball. I also think that just makes Zion injury prone, too.

With Dak, you don’t have that obviously. You have age and a body that is not built to last for a QB. That’s the reason I would go with first and foremost above Dak mailing it in, anyway.

When he demolished his house, we should've know this house of cards was coming down as well...
You have to be a special type of idiot to demolish a 3 million $ house.
Has he considered years from now the people of Dallas won't miss any opportunity to boo him and curse him out anywhere he is spotted and he might be selling and looking to get out of town ASAP????

I think he had the injury all along , just not to this severity. and they knew it. . I don’t expect to ever see him again with this team.
especially not this season
So you think he knew he was injured all along during the contract negotiations, fleecing this team knowingly, mortgaging our future and you're his fan?

Yea, you “running wind sprints” is exactly the same as a NFL QB scrambling in a game !!

We were told he is in the best shape. I agree with you - he was way too heavy. He also looked unprepared. Dak got his money and now will just get by. Fans can suck it.

WRONG the damn conspiracy theories already it's not the case I've seen to do without his shirt on he's always been slow especially after the ankle injury he's not overweight he's not out of shape and neither was Ezekiel Elliott you all can say that all you want bu....dudes in the shower you're 100% wrong... He works out a lot you can tell this man is not Tony Romo and by the way if you wanna call someone out of shape dad bond Tony Romo and Tom Brady types sure go ahead and you'd be inviting in very good company to compare Prescott to Ben Roethlisberger also never was in good shape I mean we could go team to team we wanna talk about some of these dudes I mean I don't think Dan Marino ever lifted a weight in his life but right now I'm telling you I've seen enough preseason where you see him working out with some of the receivers you see him without a shirt on command works out a lot I mean he's not in Derrick Henry shape but nobody is he doesn't workout like Terrell Owens but those dudes are unicorns he's a damn quarterback and he's in very good shape for a quarterback and he is his age and all the injuries he's had that's what slowed him down.....

I said earlier, he runs like a 50+ year old man. His conditioning isn't good.

For someone that just became the highest paid player in the history of the league he should be in tip top condition.

Was he ever in good condition this year? Didn't look like it to me.

Training camp is in 8 months. I expect to see a different player then.
