According to Fox Sports, Dak's cap hit is $59M which would an NFL record. With Parsons eligible and deserving of a hugh contract in 2024 and Zack Martin wanting to be paid as the best guard , it will be interesting to see who Jerry pays and who he doesn't.

Disregard future cap big numbers, especially young, core players. Cowboy Front Office always restructures deals to give them cap flexibility. In Dak's case, they look to extend his contract so they can spread that number out in future seasons.

He’s going to get extended. I know some people aren’t in favor of that and want the cowboys to move on. But just prepare yourselves mentally for it. Because that’s what the FO is going to do. Right or wrong.

Those who don’t like Dak WANT to pay him 59 million next year, no matter what it does to the cap, no matter how bad we struggle next season, and no matter who we lose in FA because of it.
Paying Dak 59 million next year means he’s finished in Dallas and we will start a new QB in 2024.

2023 hasn't started. negotiations haven't started. decisions haven't been made. that's creating BS, news churn to get clicks and eyes on the TV. meaningless at this point.
