So you’re willing to forgo the next 3-4-5 seasons, and a lot of the cores prime, without having a chance for a championship?
Some would say the same thing is true by keeping Dak and wasting all that money on him.

that's not what I said. we need to get better, so lets get better. just cut some one, without a plan and say, hey we just draft one and hope it works out is not the way.
I have said it many times, we should draft a QB in first 3 (or maybe as low as 4) every 3 or 4 years and develop. if he shows something, great, we have leverage. if he doesn't then move on and draft another one.I am not saying reach or draft for the sake of drafting. maybe its 5 years, maybe its 3 years. but pick one.
Ok, I can roll with you on this one. I too believe we should draft a QB in rounds 2-4 and start developing him, mainly because I’m not a Rush or Greir fan. WTBS, as of right now Dak is our best chance at contending for the next 4 years.

Saying Dak is Dallas' best chance is like saying Custer was the best choice.

Is that the goal? A championship? I'll give the Cowboys credit for putting together a very good team. We could win it with Dak. But for a lot of teams, Ravens, Giants, Cards, I don't think their goal is a championship. Yet they pay their QBs.
