we won't win anything with dak . 8 years and counting and he is declining already and is already 30. Jerry is betting it all on Dak . I am sure stephen is oppoesed to such contracts , but jerry seems to be all in .

I truly dislike this part about Dak: his current contract and the new one coming up if he most likely refuses to help the team with a discount.
:banghead:
Why would he give Jerry a discount? He's got Jerry's nuts in a vice.
It's jerry or bust for Dak.
No other GM in the league is crazy enough to offer Dak for that kind of money.

just ask them ok, lets get rid of Dak. who do you have? and watch them spin or not answer or just walk around with their heads up their rear end.

I am ready for the next better QB. show me.
So you’re willing to forgo the next 3-4-5 seasons, and a lot of the cores prime, without having a chance for a championship?

I don't know how accessing the situation and cutting your loss is a random process.
Again, for current situation cutting your loss and moving on is the best answer. Companies do it all the time when they fire someone who isn't working out.
.
Dumping more money into a bad investment, and demanding guarantee for success, like you seem to want, is "delusional" (your word not mine).
.
Q: what was Einstein's definition of "stupidity"?
A: doing same thing over and over again and expecting...

Actually it’s insanity and JJ defines the word.

Martin is loosening Jerry's checkbook up for a nice payday. Dak is waiting in the wings to grab a slice of the pie himself. Let's hope there's plenty left for Parsons. Jerry deserves what he created. Somewhere in Cabo... Zeke is laughing.

That’s exactly the question that the homeless guy/gal who lives in a cardboard box asks of the person who makes $150k per year…What the heck do you need so much money for?!
Silly to worry about other people's money. IMO.

that's not what I said. we need to get better, so lets get better. just cut some one, without a plan and say, hey we just draft one and hope it works out is not the way.
I have said it many times, we should draft a QB in first 3 (or maybe as low as 4) every 3 or 4 years and develop. if he shows something, great, we have leverage. if he doesn't then move on and draft another one.I am not saying reach or draft for the sake of drafting. maybe its 5 years, maybe its 3 years. but pick one.

You're not paying attention. Many GMs and head coaches think very highly of Dak and his QB abilities.
"Thinks very highly of him..."
What does that mean?
If that means they would have offered top dollar for, they're letting out a sigh of relief that they didn't.

According to Fox Sports, Dak's cap hit is $59M which would an NFL record. With Parsons eligible and deserving of a hugh contract in 2024 and Zack Martin wanting to be paid as the best guard , it will be interesting to see who Jerry pays and who he doesn't.
Dak's cap hit is the entire allowance for the Cowboys every year.
With him at quarterback it is all wasted.
