After seeing what QB's in his range, Carr, Jones, Geno Smith, who've received less than $40 million a year, it's hard to see him getting much more than that.
He makes about $40 million a year now and that seems to be where his value is. I think it's actually should be more towards $35 million but I think the Cowboys will want to keep it around $40. If he asks for more then he's crazy and/or the Cowboys are stupid for paying it.

For the same reason no one argues again Martin being the best G in football: wins are not a stat for a single position or player but a team stat. You can look at Herbert and see a top 5 QB. It's two first round picks (with the combined 10 year rookie deals) and the privilege of paying him (what $45m +).
The Ravens have taken that pragmatic approach that (like Dak) he's a good QB, but with an elite contract they aren't able to put the team around him.

Would disagree. Houston is the team that destroyed the market along with Minnesota. Both teams gave fully guaranteed contracts to QBs that should have never gotten that much. Somebody is going to give Lamar Jackson at least $50 million a year for 7 years and all guaranteed and he hasn't played a full season in 3 years. Burrows and Allen and Herbert and surprisingly Jalen Hurts are all going to probably get that much money guaranteed this offseason. Do they deserve it? Doesn't matter, they are all going to get it. And like it or not, hate him or love him, Dallas is going to extend Dak this offseason for at least another 5 years if not 10 years to spread the hit out.
