Daks probable season ending injury could save McCarthy's job

The team sucked before Dak went down. There's no reason whatsoever that the injury should save his job. Do you want him back or something? I certainly don't.
No . I’m just saying cause it would be just like Jethro to give him another shot simply cause injury provides excuse.

And remember Jethro thinks this team is still good enough to be a contender with Dak.

Who knows. Maybe Fat Mikey doesn’t want to come back seeking out another team.

I’m just saying Daks injury provides Jethro this out if he wants it.

Doesn't matter ONE BIT who the Head Coach is, how we treat Free Agency....or even who the GM is....the dye was cast back on Sept 8th when Dim was extended....we are screwed for 5+ years.....MINIMUM!!!!

Assuming he won’t be back or missing an extended time beyond Thanksgiving which doesn’t make any sense to bring him back at all since season is all but over.

We all know with a healthy Dak for entire season and a losing record can’t see a way McCarthy could survive. This could be his get out of jail free card.

Jethro & Son probably will just extend him for one season. And he’ll be expected to return to playoff form on Daks return next year.

Our offense with Dak and previous regular season is somewhat tied to McCarthy’s offense and play calling since the Pizza Boy left. And Jethro won’t want to separate his HC from his 2023 runner up MVP. Not yet anyway. But he’ll be on a short leash.

This should give Cowboy fans even more to frown over with hopes for new blood at the helm. But since we’ll be stuck with Dak anyway, why not his partner in crime. Lol
This is total nonsense.

Could is the operative word. It could. It might not.

Booger never knows what he's doing until he's doing it. He's too busy enjoying the moment, smelling the roses, to understand the situation, consider the consequences, or have an exit plan. He is the guy on the Titanic screaming for everybody to calm down because the ship is unsinkable.

It doesn't matter who the coach is with Jones running the show. Until the boys are sold we are destined for over hyped teams that care about media more than winning.

The team was losing with Prescott playing so I doubt McCarthy is around next year. The team has been abysmal the entire season.

Of all the coaches that should of been hired. Jerry chose one that nobody else wanted and was sitting on his couch. Jerry has a whole team full of yes sir guys including the coaches. The only Alpha on this team is Parsons who speaks up and nobody likes it. Parsons would be better off with the 49ers.

Dak McCarthy, Mike Prescott. They're pretty much one in the same as game day performers.
Whether kept or fired #4 still weighs the team down for 4 more years.

I can't figure out next year if they'll rebound to a 3 time 8-8 Garrett type squad or further implode to the level of Campo's 5-11 years.

Should be entertaining again.
LOL

McCarthy doesn't really need a job.

My money is on McCarthy leaving after this year but the thought of him staying isn’t as crazy as it sounds. Jerry kept Garrett for a decade despite multiple years where we assumed he would be gone. McCarthy is comfortable to Jerry and he’s probably willing to coach for cheaper than most of the hot names out there.

McCarthy staying or Kellen Moore making his cowboy return are both very possible IMO

I would not be greatly shocked if he gave him another one year contract. Jethro HATES to admit to mistakes. THUS, he gets another year before admitting this was a mistake. I mean look at how long Ginger lasted because Big Enos refused to admit a mistake.

Dak secured the bag $ he could careless if he is going to play or not. Now if you only pay 25% of a persons salary on days they are injured, you would have a lot more injured players all of a sudden recover faster.
