How about Dak! The haters and "gurus" never saw this coming and are still in denial. This kid can play! He is the future!

Against Miami: 12 of 15, 199 yards passing, a perfect 158.3 passer rating, two passing TDs, two rushing TDs. QB RATING 158.3 (PERFECT)

Against L.A.: 10 of 12, 139 yards, two passing TDs. QB RATING 154.5

I can't say enough good things about him, he can make all the throws, has a great pocket presence, and I am not just going by the past two games, I saw a lot of Sec games over the past few years, the kid is the real deal.

Still can't get over the way that ball sailed 65 yards in the air and his feet were not even set perfectly yet.
It was an awkward throw that magically landed in Butlers hands. We cant get too ahead of ourselves in preaseason, but Dak is showing a lot of promise and things just seem to happen when hes out there. There is enough talent around him this season that if he does need to fill in he can have success.

Who was the "expert" at CBS that ranked him as average last week?

Dak has a looong way to go before we can even think of him as being worthy of being Romo's heir apparent... He did make a couple of dumb throws tonight where he was lucky both didn't result in a turnover... Plus it's only preseason...

On the other hand, he's only a rookie, but he certainly doesn't look like a rookie, he's in command and unafraid...

What really excites me, is how much we've improved overall as a team, and Dak is a huge part of that... We can pretty safely assume that Romo will have a much better season, because I feel confident that he'll play in more than 4 games in 2016... But then if Romo does go down, I can already say that I feel 10x better about Dak winning games with his hunger and athleticism than I ever felt about Weeden or Cassel...

Our running game is going to be scary good this season! Elliott/Morris/Jackson/Dunbar(?) is sooooo much better than Randle/McFadden/Turbin/Michael!!

Dez healthy again... Scandrick and Claiborne both coming back healthy... Gavin Escobar is a pretty nice 5th or 6th option that everybody will forget about... There's no doubt we're a much more talented team in 2016 than what we fielded in 2015...

Count me In. Can't believe i didn't like the pick but who didn't. Post romo era looks less like a black abyss. Always liked qbs that can run. Could've swore people said he had a weak arm on here. I saw a tight rope 65 yarder tonight.

Lol only lost one long distance throw contest in basball and wow how these qbs amaze me! I tried to throw a football as far as I could 5 years ago shoulder still hates me. Lmao! 32

At least your headline was better than one on nfl.com. They said something about Daktacular passes - are they drunk or stupid? SpecDakular is the obvious choice there. They get paid for that stuff and miss something so obvious?

Perfect, and it was right there in front of their faces.

Also at this rate, romo will be playing his final years with the Vikings and Jets
