Sunday fun day is around the bend and admittedly, I am hopping on the "This game is special" train. Now, in hindsight, all games are important. This one however, can really give you a glimpse of what we got.

A lot of us had a severely bad taste of 8-8 in our mouths (or worse) after watching The 49ers game. It seems this team has made a knack for playing sub par against good + .500 football clubs. Romo looked as good as done with his poor decision making, bad throws, lack of velocity, mobility and outside of Murray, there just wasn't much to be excited about. Yet, as week 2 and 3 went by, it felt like I was watching an entirely different football team. The physical prowess, the lack of quitting, a young team budding, Romo turning a corner, Murray imposing his will. There are a lot of things that get me excited. Not because I believe we're Superbowl bound. No, I see a franchise that is making strides in the right direction to be a good football "team" that can work it's way out of 8-8, finally.

Admittedly, I am a pessimist at heart. Yet, I can't seem to shake the fact that this is not the same football club I watched last year. In close, if what we have seen the past two games is true, The Cowboys may just surprise us all this Sunday. I won't take my pessimist hat off just yet but, I'll turn it around backwards and lean in to watch the games for once.

I feel that even if the Cowboys finish 8-8, they're a better team than they were the past 3 seasons.

Most teams have losing, awful records while rebuilding.

We've been in the playoff hunt while we've been rebuilding. That says something.

Oh? Please tell me how we've not improved this roster by ridding it of old players and becoming one of the youngest teams in the league with perhaps the best offensive line in the NFL.

I agree with you

Common wisdom is that Dallas is a poorly coached joke of a team

I can't put my finger what it is, but something feels different about this team.

I also like the way this team has taken so far. And i think it has alot to do with Garrett. As much as i hated him as a coordinator i always liked his approach as an HC.

I think he finally assembled a good group of coaches and i hope we can keep them around for a long time.

The change with McClay as the "unofficial GM" imo is the right one. if we could only stop making trades and losing draft picks in the upper rounds. Thats just not the way you build a good team.

I hope we continue to put more value into the OL and DL and stop giving out contracts that dont make sense.

Against the Saints i am very pessimistic just because its Brees and Graham. But it aint over till that overweight lady sings.

i can put my finger on it.
1. better o-line...can actually run the damn football.

2. Tony not forced to put everything on his shoulders.

3. Defense is playing ok and a little over their heads. (Big names here and there don't transulate to automatic wins)

that's where it stops....

you guys are going to be pissed when this team plays a really good football team..gonna fall short for now.

If Dallas can beat the Sea Hawks is will eat all 279 letters i just posted is the original message.

The play of the Oline has improved our offense. Before, defenses feared our passing attack and committing to the ground game down 21-0 was impressive. Selling our run game is why Dez was wide open and is why on some PA plays Romo had plenty of room and time to make his throws.

You kinda see what I see. We're physically trying to dominate the LOS on offense whether it's 8 In the box or not. The run game has helped that defense that's playing over their heads. I'm holding out hope that Spencer and DLAW can provide an outside rush later while we sneak some wins in early.

Count me in for possibly signing a young RT in free agency, while focusing heavy on more physical playmakers on defense. Especially in the trenches and on the back end.

Coaching looks smarter too. Kinda hard not too when you've got 3 Head Coaches essentially.

I have a special hatred in my heart for the Saints that cemented itself when payton did the onside kick when they already had command of the game. I hope we put a major whooping on them but I am not holding my breath.

As a bartender I hate them because, after Katrina, it seemed like every Cowboy hating Saints fan relocated to my bar to talk trash. I mean, just full go trash talk. As if it didn't take them 47 years to win ONE Super Bowl.:facepalm:

Saints have not looked dynamic in going 1-2...this is a winnable game if they don't turn the ball over...

No, if we finish 8-8 then we're no better and no worse than the three previous years.
