Sunday fun day is around the bend and admittedly, I am hopping on the "This game is special" train. Now, in hindsight, all games are important. This one however, can really give you a glimpse of what we got.
A lot of us had a severely bad taste of 8-8 in our mouths (or worse) after watching The 49ers game. It seems this team has made a knack for playing sub par against good + .500 football clubs. Romo looked as good as done with his poor decision making, bad throws, lack of velocity, mobility and outside of Murray, there just wasn't much to be excited about. Yet, as week 2 and 3 went by, it felt like I was watching an entirely different football team. The physical prowess, the lack of quitting, a young team budding, Romo turning a corner, Murray imposing his will. There are a lot of things that get me excited. Not because I believe we're Superbowl bound. No, I see a franchise that is making strides in the right direction to be a good football "team" that can work it's way out of 8-8, finally.
Admittedly, I am a pessimist at heart. Yet, I can't seem to shake the fact that this is not the same football club I watched last year. In close, if what we have seen the past two games is true, The Cowboys may just surprise us all this Sunday. I won't take my pessimist hat off just yet but, I'll turn it around backwards and lean in to watch the games for once.
