Fancy title but this is just me throwing up the first game's analysis of the defense via the original Bad Bob (week 7 Dallas @ Philly). How much this has to do with today is the 64,000 dollar question.
The Boys played a lot of nickel packages with Carter and Lee in and used a man under pressure cover 1 or 2 rather than the traditional Tampa 2 look of the cover 2.
I thought it might make a good read again for those into the x's and o's.
I suspect Philly is prepared for this look. My guess is we'll still see this kind of defensive scheme in the main. I think they will blitz this guy more but they need to be careful about when to blitz this spread offense. We don't blitz well nor do we do it much. The former probably reflects not just the latter but also the fact our pass defense is so porous and safety play so suspect they dare not blitz much. I have a problem with that and if they blitz they just need to gamble and send six or seven guys not five. And they need to blitz off the corner more. There has been some buzz from the Boys recognizing that need but they don't seem to have the attitude for it.
If they can't get enough pressure then they have to blitz to stay in this game absent turnovers.
Pray Foles has a game like he had last time. Don't count on him missing so many wide open guys though.
